Canon R1 Specification Leaked [Updated]

Now we have specs coming out from a trusted Chinese source, most of the information shared by the source in the past was true, take a look at the rumored specification of the to-be-announced Canon R1 Camera.

Canon R1 Specification

  • 30-megapixel full-frame stacked dual-core focus sensor
  • Pure electronic rolling shutter
  • 1/1250s flash sync time (<0.8ms microsecond read time), faster than any mechanical rolling shutter
  • New 1:3 lossy compression CRAW (compared to lossless compression)
  • Unlimited 40fps (1:2 CRAW) / 60fps (1:3 CRAW) continuous shooting, up to 120fps
  • Full-featured continuous shooting supports 240fps burst continuous shooting mode and 1s pre-shooting for enhanced dynamic range, which is better than EOS R3 and EOS R5
  • It supports 16Bit of two benchmarks
  • DGO-RAW photo camera in-camera depth of field stacked RAW
  • 6.7K/60p & 4.2K/120p (APS-C) 12bit Cinema RAW Light recording full-frame/APS-C DCI/UHD 4K/120p
  • C-log2 & C-log3 video recording
  • Sleek body optimized for maximum hand feel

As you can see the source has shared a very detailed core specification of the to-be-announced camera,  now these specs are of a protoype being tested in the wild of a production line R1 camera we don’t know at this moment.
