Sony new big sensor compact camera is coming foe sure. Sony Registered a new compact camera with the code name “WW158299” at the Chinese Miit agency. According to rumors floating over the web Sony will going to announce new compact camera with fixed lens.
Sony RX1R II announced on Oct 14, 2015 So I don’t expect Sony will going to announce RX1R III anytime soon. The current Sony RX1R II camera using latest A7R II FF sensor that features 42MP resolution and 399 AF points.
We may see a APS-C sensor based compact camera announcement that will directly compete with to be announced Fuji X100F camera with a X-Pro2 sensor.

We have received a email from from a anonymous source that the next RX1 series camera name will be Sony RX1 II and it will arrive on October 2015. He also added that two or more prototypes does exist with two different sensors but both models support 4K.
Why we published this rumor, since soon or later other websites will going to publish the same info, better we flash it first and the most important part that we receive dozens of rumors daily, but we publish only those who look logical to us.

According to almost confirmed rumor coming from SAR website, Sony will not going to announce any E-Mount related camera on April 23, 2015.So, the bad news is the Sony A7R II is not coming anytime soon.
Then we have only two options left, either they will announce a Alpha series SLT or RX series professional compact camera…
1. Sony RX series compact camera -Three RX Series compact camera is expected to arrive in 2015,
the first one is Sony RX1 Mk II fullframe compact camera with curved sensor and a fixed 35mm f/1.8 Zeiss lens.
The second camera is the RX100 M4 camera with a new sensor and a option to record 4k videos..
and finally.. the announcement of RX10 Mark II is also due and it will also arrive soon, and will also support 4K videos.
2. Upcoming Sony A Mount Cameras – Sony A99 II and Sony A58 II, Both camera is also rumored to arrive this year.
Sony A99 II camera will arrive in Q1 or Q2 of 2015, the camera will have 36 Megapixel fullframe CMOS sensor (same as of Sony A7R camera) and the most important feature of upcoming A99II will be “World Fastest AF” and 4K video recording, its quite obvious that Sony will achieve it with the help of SLT technology, the other features will also include NFC and WiFi connectivity,
Sony A58II will be a major update over A58 camera, the sensor will be same as of current Sony A77 II 24 MP CMOS sensor and a 19 point AF system (11 points cross type), no major enhancement in video mode.

 Sony is rumored to announce Sony A5100 Mirrorless camera on August 19, 2014, the next confirmed date of announcement is September 3, 2014, on that day Sony will announce new QX30 smartphone Lens module and Sony Xperia Z3 smartphone.
But unfortunately we don’t have any details about any pro camera or lens announcement, according to some of the rumors surfaced over past few weeks we may see Sony new RX series fullframe camera with curved sensor and new E-mount camera with bunch of new lenses.

 A new set of specification is leaked by a anonymous source so take it as a grain of salt, according to the leaked specification the upcoming fullframe cybershot camera will feature a contactable 35-70mm F2.8 zoom lens fitted over the 36 MP Fullframe Sensor (yep.. same as the A7R sensor).
However there are some rumors published earlier via trusted sources that suggest that upcoming RX2 camera may feature curved sensor with fixed lens. So if we take both the rumor seriously then It is also possible that we may see two variants of the fullframe cybershot camera in future one with curved sensor design and other with flat A7R sensor and powerzoom lens.

The Sony first curved sensor sample image surfaced over the web, the sample image a proof that Sony has really developed and implemented curved sensor successfully inside the upcoming fixed lens prototype camera (possibly Sony RX2?).
The image and other info surfaced over the web also suggest that the upcoming fullframe fixed lens camera RX2 will feature faster and compact lens design without any vignetting issue.
