Sony A7 II finally announced by Sony today, the new Sony A7 II comes with Sony home grown 5 axis image stabilization system, the camera also features improved firmware and auto-focus algorithm that minimizes the start-up time by 40% and improves the AF speed by 30%, now take a look at the major specification difference below…
The Sony A7 II will arrive 5 axis image stabilization and XAVC S video format, these are the two new things that added to the A7 II camera. The Sony A7 II camera features same resolution as of its predecessor Sony A7 camera and AF points are also same (117 Phase detect and 25 contrast detect), but due to the improved AF algorithm the new Sony A7 II takes 30% less time than the Sony A 7 camera to acquire AF.
The Sony A7 is bit heavier may be due to the built-in 5 axis image stabilization system
Verdict: We don’t find any major difference between the A7 II and A7 except the image stabilization, we also do hope that after few months Sony will bring firmware update to implement fast AF in A7 too. For current A7 users we recommend you to wait for Sony A7 III camera.

According to latest rumors Sony will announce a new fullframe mirrorless camera in next two to three months of time, so we may see Sony new pro FF mirrorless camera on World premiere show CP+2015 (February, 2015)…
As we have already seen the three different category of Sony Fullframe mirrorless camera announced in past, the Sony A7 dedicated for fast AF performance, the A7R features a 36MP high-resolution sensor and the last announced A7s camera is made for super low-light performance, (features Expandable Sensitivity: ISO 50-409600 and also supports 4K recording)… But according to SAR sources the upcoming Sony fullframe camera is bit different from all these three (or maybe a mixture of two) and will start a new product category.
We expect that the upcoming mirrorless camera is a mixture of fast AF performance of Sony A6000 and high sensitivity sensor as of A7s, we already published few days ago that Sony is trying to transfer the Sony A6000 Fast & advance HYBRID AF technology to the upcoming Fullframe E-mount mirrorless camera (see here), Stay with us and more coming…
