Ricoh finally announced the rumored Compact APS-C Sensor based compact camera, the Ricoh GR features 16.2MP APS-C size sensor, JPEG & RAW formats and the new GR Engine V Image Processor, 4 fps continuous shooting speed at full resolution, the camera also features No optical low-pass filter, so you get sharp, high resolution imaging and fast response time. The GR expansive ISO range from 100-25600, Full HD 1080p video @ 30fps and 60 fps in 720 HD.
The 28mm fixed lens features maximum aperture of f/2.8, comes with two aspherical elements to minimize aberrations. On the back side we have 3.0″ 1,230k-dot LCD. Nine image effects are also available to add creative expression to both your stills and videos. Image Effects include Retro, Cross-Process and High Key.
Pentax may announce APS-C sensor compact (GRD V) and K-3 and K-3s DSLRs on April 2013, the K-3 and K-3s will feature a 24Mp APS-C sensor and the cost of upcoming APS-C compact from Pentax is rumored to be around $600-$700.
