Press Release
TAIPEI, TAIWAN, October 27, 2010 – BenQ announced the expansion of its S series digital camera lineup today – S1410 digital camera. A generous 14 Megapixels; 5x optical zoom lens; 5cm Super Macro focus and 26mm Wide-Angel lens with O.I.S feature, S1410 targets young megapixel-hungry consumers, who values compact and mobility of their camera when going out. BenQ’s S1410 high megapixels lets user take lushly detailed, gorgeously crisp photos and its anti-shake feature ensures that camera movement would not ruin an otherwise perfect shot.
The O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) feature on S1410 prevents blur on shots. S1410 is the first O.I.S. equipped compact camera from BenQ. As O.I.S. is the most powerful technology for anti-shake, this amazing feature compensates for unintended camera movements or slow shutter speeds to deliver crisply rendered, sharp and crystal clear images.
The 5cm Super Macro delivers the same level of magnification and detail at 5 centimeters as conventional macro provides at 3 centimeters. The super macro mode lets user enjoy the benefit of taking easy and effective close-up shots.
The combination of the 26mm wide-angle lens with 5x optical zoom makes the S1410 the ideal camera companion for every occasion. Never fret on how everything can fit into the frame with the wide-angle lens, the 26mm focal distance enables users capture a larger area, capturing everyone in frame even in a close-up group photo.
S1410’s 720p HD movie recording capability allows users to record crisply detailed, brilliant and vivid HD videos when not even a great photo can capture the action. The highlights of one’s life can now be preserved in big, beautiful movies. The 14 megapixel sensor and 1/2.33” CCD sensor is powerful, but users do not have to worry about the blemishes that photographs often make more obvious than in real. Taken with the “Face Beautifier”, it softens skin tones and removes wrinkles and blemishes whilst preserving a natural appearance without the need to re-edit them elsewhere.
BenQ’s S1410 will be available in China in October, Asia Pacific and Latin America in November, and Europe this December. For more information, please visit www.BenQ.com
Internationally-renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations, BenQ, expands the lineup of their camcorder product line today with the launch of their latest pocket-size 1080p Full HD M11. The new M11 is packed with features such as a 10MP CMOS sensor; 5x optical zoom and 3.0” 16:9 touch-screen display. Sensational results are a few touches away.
Smart engineering, functionality and intuitive operation gracefully merged to work together in M11: touch exposure; face tracking; time lapse recording; slow-motion and accelerated playback; 3sec pre-recording and dual stream recording are only few of its inexplicable features – along with the scene mode selection allowing its users to change and select up to 10 shooting modes: Auto; Night; Sports; Landscape; Portrait; Sunset; Sand /Snow; Flower; Firework and Aquarium. Giving the consumer’s the ability to record their precious moments in life with ease.
One of the prominent functions in M11 is the Time Lapse Recording feature. M11 allows users to create magnificent video works with this handy feature, engrossing clips of actions slowly being unfolded can be captured. Watch a flower bloom, a rainstorm approach, a city’s dusk till dawn. Videos recorded in this mode can be quickly viewed and take up little storage space.
Viewing experience on the M11 is exceptionally flexible, actions on the videos can be slowed down to as little as 1/64th of the original speed, or sped up by up to 64 times when filmed at the resolution of 432×240. Playback at the speed you like, and capture certain shots with ease using the shutter. Watch a friend’s facial expression in slow motion, or whiz through slow-moving action all at your fingertips, literally.
The 3 sec pre-recording feature on M11 saves the video for the three seconds before the user actually pressed the record button, which means there will be no worry if the record button is pressed right after the action started. Get it all on the video for posterity by using those magically restored seconds.
Dislike fiddling with confusing ISO settings? For users who hope for the best with hit-and-miss conventional auto-exposure settings, use the advanced touch-activated version. The touch exposure feature allows tapping on the screen where the light levels look right to a discerning eye, and the correct exposure levels will automatically be set.
Another proud feature for the M11 is the dual stream recording, built-in with its users in mind. It simultaneously creates two different video files as videos are being filmed. One can be a high-definition version for a luxurious viewing experience on a widescreen TV, whilst another can be a compact version for uploading and sharing on the web. No more tedious conversions or slow uploads!
The M11 will be available in China and Asia Pacific in October, and Latin America in November. For more information, please visit www.BenQ.com
Update on Canon EOS 5D mark III
A new thread started in fredmiranda forum about the arrival of new cannon camera with small size and pro-AF system, let’s hope Canon is developing a third generation of the EOS 5D.
As said by SLD (username)
Had a short chat with the top guy in Canon NJ(don’t ask me who he is), when he asked me what cameras are in my bag( what I am shooting with), I told him that I still prefer the 1Ds Mark III compared with the 5D II due to the AF and handling, he told me that you may need a new camera, I said WHAT? A new small form camera with pro-AF system and built quality is coming? He smiled and said YES !
Let’s see what it will be, and don’t hold me accountable, lol……
