 Latest 7D mark II specification surfaced over the web today, look same as previous rumored specification.
Specifications
- 24MP – an all new sensor with phase AF on chip and noticeably lower noise than the current 18MP.
- 1Dx/5D3 based AF system.
- 10 FPS.
- ISO 100-25600.
- High speed video, with still capture.
- Improved durability and sealing.
- Available this year or Q1 of 2013
Canon done a lot of homework with 7D firmware update and pushed 7D limit to a new level, its really hard to say we will see new 7D Mk II very soon.

 Canon G1 X is announced at Jan 9, 2012 so its It may be too early to expect a Canon G2 X, but it is not too early to publish a rumored specification, according to the specification Canon G2 X may arrive with improved Hybrid AF system like Canon EOS M, better image processor and newly designed lens with 2X more optical zoom and better macro performance. see the rumored specification below

 Ok its not a rumor, Akira Watanabe, manager of the SLR Planning Department at Olympus said Olympus is working on a new Pro-body to deliver the focusing performance expected by users, It is still unclear whether the new model will be a DSLR or a mirrorless camera, but Watanabe said it will be designed to give full functionality with E-system lenses.

Akira Watanabe, manager of Olympus Imaging’s SLR planning department, confirmed today that the company is definitely working on a body to deliver the focusing performance expected by users of the Top Pro lens series like the ground breaking 90-250 f2.8 fixed aperture zoom
Watanabe has been delighted with the success of the OM-D which has pushed the boundaries of performance for system cameras but acknowledged that it did not deliver with the legacy high end lenses from the E-System. Whilst further information wasn’t forthcoming, he was keen to emphasise that Olympus is actively developing a solution and will announce more details in due course.
Based on latest news/rumors coming from different sources we are getting, Olympus is working new E-system camera Olympus E7 and it is expected to be announced on 2013.

According to latest rumors and news, Just a day before the start of the Photokina 2012 show Leica has scheduled an exclusive event in Cologne on September 17th, 2012. So finally on September 17th we will see the long rumored Leica M10, Medium format S3 and Leica is also expected to update its compact line-up with D-Lux 6 and V-Lux 4.

 a dpreviewforum member Matix just forgot his precious Sony RX100 on the roof of the car, the car started and the camera fell, it only dropped 4 ft or so…. before being attacked by a few trucks, and cars… read the full story at the end of the post
Loading my car up this morning at 5am in the dark, heading to work…. put my coffee and the RX100 on the top of the car to load the rest into the back seat… picked up my coffee, headed out the gate, up the road and onto the freeway… 35km and 25 minutes later…. where is the camera???
Phoned home, my wife looked on the driveway, the gutter by the gate.. then drove up about 300 yard and there it was… who knows how many vehicles nailed it… it is a busy road and a lot of light tradesman trucks and cars use it.
Well, she called me… and told me, I felt better actually… rather than some person found and kept it I guess…….
Here it is… the case was open and it was rather sad looking… BUT THE DAMN BATTERY DOOR WAS STILL IN GOOD SHAPE, SO STOP WHINING ABOUT THE BATTERY DOOR DAMMIT!!!
