Confirmed - Nikon Working on High Megapixel FF Camera
After Canon (see here) Nikon also confirmed that they are working on a high resolution fullframe camera (via – DCwatch), the camera will possibly use the rumored 46 Megapixel sensor developed by Sony. Not only Canon and Nikon, Sony is also rumored to announce a 46 Megapixel based A9 E-Mount mirrorless camera, we will update you soon as we get any new information. Nikon d810 36 amp to a rumoured 46 Mp will generate not much bigger files unless they go 16 bit colour
what would be the point? In any case bigger files will be a pain both In terms of processing and storage
If they do go bigger they will most likely have to drop price of d810 .. Maybe I should wait
Also they will be threatening medium format makers…maybe nikon should bite the bullet and make a medium format camera say 60mp plus with 16 bit colour… Now that would be a hoot!
