 Sony Testing prototype of 8K Camera, according to trusted sources of famous rumor mill SAR, Sony representatives did show a new 8K camera prototype to the BBC studio, the camera design was similar to the current A99 camera with a vertical grip, so there are two possibilities,
1. The first one is Sony may announce a new compact cinema line-up as Canon EOS C (cinema) series or
2. It is also possible that upcoming A99 II may have a option to record 8K Videos.

Its a good news for low-light lovers that Sony finally managed to develop a sensor that can captures images in totally dark environment aka moonless night, but the sensor module is developed for automotive industry, the newly developed sensor become the first that fulfills the AEC-Q100 reliability tests and it will be soon implemented to enhance the features such as aided driving or full automated driving.
We have high hopes that Sony will soon implement the same technology to Digital cameras soon and we may see Sony A7S II with ISO range of 819200 or may be 1638400.

 Sony E-Mount high demand was unexpected, hence Sony focused all its resources on the development of E-mount system cameras, and due to that several scheduled A-mount product announcement was delayed aka the release and refresh cycle of A-mount camera and lenses increased.
According to the rumors the upcoming (next) A-mount camera will focus on high end market, so there is a possibility that Sony will use its A7 FF series sensors in the different variants of A99 SLT camera.
The other BIG announcement from Sony is scheduled for January-February 2015, but we don’t know it will be related to A-mount or E-Mount.

 Almost confirmed that Sony will announce a 46 Megapixel mirrorless camera on Q1 of 2015, the camera will be a E-mount (mirrorless) or A-mount (SLT) still not confirmed. As we have published earlier that Canon is also preparing its Megapixel monster for 2015 announcement see here.

The Panasonic Rumored large sensor compact camera finally announced and its features M4/3 size sensor, we are comparing the ultra popular RX100 M3 camera with the LX100, take a look who wins…
 Sensor
The Panasonic LX100 features large multi-aspect 4/3″ type MOS sensor that produce images of 12.8MP still and records 4K Ultra HD video at 30 and 24 fps on the other hand Sony features a 20.1 MP megapixel 1″ Exmor R CMOS sensor that features backside-illuminated technology to produce better low-light images.
 However having a large sensor and big photodiode Panasonic will produce better low-light images with more dynamic range.
Lens
Due to the introduction of high quality 24-75mm Leica DC Vario-Summilux f/1.7-2.8 Lens the Panasonic features more bit more optical zoom (3.1 vs 2.9) by having the same aperture range as of Sony RX100 M3, The Macro mode available in LX100 is also better, the LX100 allows you to get more closer to your subject (3cm vs 5cm), plus the lens will create more DOF due to large sensor size of LX100.
Hybrid Shutter
The Panasonic LX100 uses Electronic and Mechanical shutter both, the mechanical shutter provides you shutter speed of 60 – 1/4000 second and electronic shutter capable of shooting 1 – 1/16000 second …
4K Video
The LX100 also supports 4K 3840 x 2160 video recording at 30 or 24 fps in MP4 format (No AVCHD), the 4K video can be recorded for up to 15 minutes, and requires an SD card rated at UHS-I Speed Class 3, you can record Full HD videos @ 60fps in MP4 and AVCHD formats.

Latest rumors suggest that Sony in collaboration with Zeiss and Mamiya are preparing to announce new medium format on 2015, no detailed specification available yet, as we know that Sony is producing high quality CMOS sensors used in the latest cameras like PhaseOne and Hasselblad, so there will be no problem for Sony to develop a medium format camera. we will update you soon as we get any new information.

According to latest rumors around the web Sony RX20 Coming Soon with 4K recording option and blessed with XAVC-S Codec, plus 120fps frame rate option will be added to the HD recording of Sony RX20. The camera will feature same sensor and lens as of Sony RX10, minor upgrade will be added in the overall specification, the predicessor will suffer from a $100-200 price drop just after the announcement of Sony RX20, the RX20 rumored price will be approx 1300 USD/1050 GBP. I think Sony is in hurry to announce Panasonic FZ1000 competitor.
