Ricoh is working on Hybrid phase detect sensor, that will do Phase AF too by the help of active phase AF pixels. The new innovation will sure help Pentax / Ricoh to enable high speed AF during vidoe and live view-mode.

 Pentax / Ricoh filed a patent to correct focus shift caused by infrared light. In the patent we can clearly see that Rioch is working on 2nd IR (infrared) AF (Auto Focus) Sensor for correcting the Focus shift when the Phase AF sensor fails to do the correct Job in absence of visible light (In a situation when only IF is present).

Rioch made a world record today 🙂 by announcing a lens for a camera that is still in the development stage.
The Lens is designed and developed for long rumored Pentax Fullframe camera that is expected to arrive in 2016. The 24-70mm lens features fixed aperture range throughout the zoom lens.
The lens is also compatiable with current pentax bodies and it will act as 37-107mm lens with current PENTAX K-series DSLRs.

The new camera features 12MP 1/2.3″ sensors and it generates high-resolution spherical images of up to nearly 14 megapixels. The camera can also capture Full HD video, built-in WiFi gives you effortless sharing capability and HDMI output is also available for live streaming.
The Theta camera integrated with Google new Street View app, the google app easily recognize the camera and you can upload your 360 street view of your locality to populate Street View.
