Take a look at the dynamic range measurement results of the recently announced Olympus OM-1 camera. The dynamic range of the camera was tested by photons to photos website.
The dynamic range test score of the camera is really pretty good although many of the M4/3 format users may get disappointed to see the low light score less than the Panasonic GH5 mark II.
Although we have to keep in mind that the Camera sensor uses a quad pixel phase difference autofocusing system. Due to its nature of construction, the camera sensor uses a high number phase detect autofocusing point inside the sensor for blazing-fast AF performance, which directly affects the low-light performance of the sensor. And maybe that’s Panasonic still uses the DFD AF system to protect the low-light performance of the camera.

New Major Features in Panasonic GH6 camera
- The GH6 is based around a completely new sensor: the highest resolution chip we’ve yet seen in the Four Thirds sensor size.
- New to the GH6 is the option to shoot in Apple ProRes 422 HQ and 422 formats. At first the camera’s ProRes modes will only be available for 5.7K capture, but DCI 4K and FullHD support will be added in firmware, due later in 2022.
- Camera’s 8-shot high-resolution mode, which delivers 50 or 100MP images,
- GH6’s noise reduction has been updated
- DFD is Updated and does very well in still mode, works best in Full HD 60p mode.
- Magnified live view while recording video
- Fan to extend the recording time limit of 4:2:2 10-bit 4K at up to 60p.

A few weeks ago Panasonic China leaked the washed-out lens image to be announced 18mm F1.8 lens. You can also notice the newly announced S 35mm F1.8 lens in the bundle. Now, recently the roadmap of Panasonic 2022 leaked and you can notice the special appearance of S 18mm F1.8 Lens. Sadly, we only have one prime lens set for the 2022 announcement in the S-Line of lenses. Maybe they will put more attention to the announcement and development of the Panasonic GH6 camera and new 4/3 format lenses.
