Leica Mini M Image and Specification Leaked today, the upcoming camera features a 16 Megapixel APS-C Sensor and a fixed Leica Elmar 28-70mm (35mm equivalent) f/3.5-6.4 lens.
Leica Mini M Specification
– Leica Elmar 28-70mm f/3.5-6.4 (FF equivalent)
– 16,1 Megapixel APS-C sensor.
– external electronic viewfinder can be used
– Full Aluminum body
– FullHD recording
– Bundled with Photoshop Lightroom.
Leica Mini M will cost you approx €2,450 / $3,160. Mini M will be unveiled at an official launch event on June 11th.

 Leica today uploaded a picture with a mysterious object labeled the “Mini M” sitting between the Leica M and Leica X2, According to Leica the Mini M is coming on June 11th,the Mini M is sitting between full-frame M and the APS-C-loaded X2, no more specification is available yet.
Rumors – What Can come now?
Its a high probability that leica may introduce a full-frame compact camera or a entry level mirroless system on June 11.
A full frame compact camera will recover the sales damage caused by Sony RX1 / to stop buyers moving towards Sony RX1 and other high-end compact camera.
+ Leica is also a member of Four Thirds system companies, so we may see a M4/3 based Mirrorless system camera from leica on June 11th.

With Leica M NEW Leica M-E is also Announced, its a affordable camera from Leica built with Leica M9 18 MP CCD sensor, the core specification is almost same as Leica M9, available from Leica dealers from end of September with a retail price of $5,450 (really affordable?) in the US and £3900 in the UK.

 With M10 Leica may also announce a new Leica ME(name however is subject to change) on photokina, the core specification details is not yet available but It will cost less than the M9 and feature a regular VF (no EVF and not EVIL), according to the source it’s more like the M9 than it is different.

According to latest rumors and news, Just a day before the start of the Photokina 2012 show Leica has scheduled an exclusive event in Cologne on September 17th, 2012. So finally on September 17th we will see the long rumored Leica M10, Medium format S3 and Leica is also expected to update its compact line-up with D-Lux 6 and V-Lux 4.

In an interview with British Journal of Photography and other UK-based photography magazines, Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, Leica ‘s head of supervisory board When asked if such a new camera could include HD OR FULL HD video features, Kaufmann said that
“theoretically, yes,” adding that there are some issues with introducing video in a camera – “the data rate, the heat, and the battery lifecycle, but I think we solved that. No comment until we show it on existing and new models.”
He added: “HD video is interesting, and a lot of photographers would love to have it (in an M body).”
