This is really a strange rumor since according to the source of SAR website some of the prototypes of the Sony A7R II exist in the wild by having curved sensor inside.
We can’t deny the possibility but Take this rumor with a grain of salt,
Now let’s talk about the curved sensor…
We have published the Sony curved sensor patent on July 6th, 2014, we have also published the sample image captured by curved sensor camera [see here].
The curved sensor is designed to mimic the curvature of human eye, in the curved sensor light directly falls in the center of the sensor and hits the pixel in straight, that completely eliminates the need micro-lenses above the sensor surface. Curved sensors are 1,4 times more sensitive in the center and 2 times more sensitive in the corners. They live among us, yes its absolutely true, Sony already implemented the curved sensor in its first Curved sensor based compact selfie Cybershot camera KW11, the camera features a 19.2MP 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor and a 21mm F2 Lens [see the announcement page here]

Based on latest report published via CIPA for the month of April 2015, we can clearly see a boom in the sale of mirrorless and DSLR camera, the sale of DSLRs hit approx 800000 units a month to 1000000 units a month and on the other hand the mirrorless sale is also increased up 400000 units a month, the mirrorless market is growing but still it remains inferior to DSLRs in terms of sales volume and popularity. ..

A bad news for pro photographers those who are waiting for new version of Touit lens will get bit disappointment, since according to the trusted sources of website they will not announce any new APS-C sensor based Touit lenses in 2015 or may be 2016, Zeiss will put its concentration in developing fullframe lenses only. But we are sure that the company will announce a wide angle Loxia FE lens in September/October 2015.
