Fuji recalling some specific Fuji X-100V camera models from stock [ based on series numbers] those who are affected by the overheating issue. Take a look at what one of our users said about the Fuji X-100V Overheating issue
I purchased an 100V through Amazon.ca on 5 April. The vendor contacted me today: while they have stock they could not fulfill my order as Fuji had released a recall on the 100V by serial number based on the overheating issue. The dealer told me that Fuji would not be issuing a recall to customers at this time as their factory and refurb facilities are closed during this crisis.
So, they are only recalling some specific stock-piles from warehouses to solve the overheating issue. The Dealer also said that Fuji would not be issuing a recall to customers at this time as their factory and refurb facilities are closed during this crisis.
We have asked our user to give us more information related to the issue is possible.

A lot of users worldwide complaining about the overheating issue of the recently announced Fuji X100 V Camera. Take a look at what Fuji X-100V users have to say about the overheating issue.
Just got a silver x100v and was surprised at how warm it was to touch after just a bit of time setting up menus and taking some test shots in AF-S mode. It wasn’t quite hot, but quite warm and definitely not entirely comfortable to use when touching your face.
I was a bit surprised coz’ my former X100F did not have such problem. I also shot 4K video on the new x100v , the overheat alert sign (yollow one) showed up approximately 5mins later. I could still complete the 10mins video shooting but it was hot.
I’ve tested the x100v again for 30 minutes and can’t believe how uncomfortably warm it’s getting, just taking still photos.
I’m sending mine back and will stick with my x100f. Unreal. I was really looking forward to this camera
It looks like Fuji upgraded the sensor resolution of the compact camera without improving the image processing power significantly that matches the camera processing requirements.

FUJIFILM Corporation
To our valued customers
Thank you very much for purchasing and using our products.
When the X100V is used in a continuous manner (such as with continuous video shooting) or when used in a high temperature environment or direct sun light, a user may feel the grip become noticeably hot, due to heat generation within the camera’s electric circuit board and battery. It is important to note that this heat will not generally affect the camera’s performance until the camera shuts off as described below. However, the emulating heat may cause skin irritation and may ultimately be uncomfortable for the user.
When the camera’s temperature increases in this manner, a yellow warning icon first appears on the LCD screen. If the temperature increases further the red warning icon will appear and shortly thereafter, the camera will turn off automatically.
In cases where the X100V shuts down automatically, we would recommend that you permit the camera to cool down before further use.
In situations where the use environment is particularly hot or where the user has blood circulation or sensitive skin issues, we would recommend use of a tripod or a gimbal for periods of continuous shooting. As noted above, the camera will shut off in the event of a significant temperature increase.
You can rest assured that Fujifilm is absolutely committed to quality and service excellence, with respect to the X100V, and with respect to all other FUJIFILM products.

As per the latest rumors surfaced over the web, Fuji’s upcoming APS-C flagship Mirrorless camera may arrive with 32 or 43 MP APS-C CMOS sensors. Fuji is working on new sensors for its Next APS-C flagship camera. We know the Fuji X-T5 is far away from now, the next XT-(X) series scheduled announcement is on Q4 of 2021. So, it will be too early to expect anything. BTW, there is also a slight possibility that Fuji may use the 43MP APS-C sensor to put a new life in their dying X-H series camera with 6K video recording capability.
Fuji X-T5 Expected Arrival time and Sensor Resolution
- 32MP / 43 APS-C X-Trans 5 Sensor [sensor resolution isn’t confirmed yet]
- X-Processor 5 Image Processor
- 5-Axis In-Body Image Stabilization
- DCI/UHD 6K at 30
- Announcement on Q4 of 2021
As I always say, take this with a grain of salt.

Fuji X-T100 V camera arrived with Fuji ultra-popular 26 MP BSI CMOS Sensor. Does the new sensor outperforms the old sensor with a margin or do they have a big difference. We are getting lots of questions from our users related to the Fuji X-100V dynamic range. So, I have compared the Fuji X-T30 (same 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 Sensor as of Fuji X-100V) camera sensor test score with Fuji X-100F (24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III Sensor).
Fuji 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 Sensor vs Fuji X-100F (24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III Sensor)
We will update this page as soon as we get final test scores of Fuji X-100V camera.
