Panasonic LX7 test is done at french website focus Numerique (computer translated), we have selected three camera Panasonic LX7, Sony RX100 and Canon G1 X for comparison review.
The Canon G1 X have the biggest 1.5″ (18.7 x 14 mm) sensor, after that Sony RX 100 with 1″ (13.2 x 8.8 mm) and finally Panasonic Lumix with 1/1.7″ (7.44 x 5.58 mm) sensor.
The Panasonic LX7 comes at $150 less than Sony RX 100 and approx $199 less than Canon G1 X, so we have to keep the sensor size and price difference in our mind before we see the test result.
Nikon finally announces the rumored Nikon J2 mirrorless camera, the camera is almost same as Nikon J1 camera, the J2 comes with a high resolution screen and with some new features similar to Nikon’s Coolpix compacts camera.
The Nikon J2 is available for sale from September 2012, priced at US$550 in a kit 10-30mm lens, Body colors include White, Black, Silver, Pink, a deeper Red color, and a new Orange variant.

With Nikon J2 Nikon also announced the new Nikon 1 system 11-27.5mm F/3.5-5.6 Lens, it gives you approx 2.5X optical zoom in a compact size, an ideal lens family vacation. The lens is compatible with the Nikon J2, Nikon V1 and Nikon J1 camera.
New Underwater Case for the Nikon 1 J2 and J1
Nikon has also announced the addition of a new accessory to the Nikon 1 System, one that will allow users to use their Nikon 1 cameras to use underwater without any problem, New WP-N1 underwater case that can easily house your 10-30mm lens with J2 or J1 mirrorless camera.
The case is waterproof up to 40 meters (approx. 131 feet), but the price of WP-N1 underwater case is more than the camera, you have to pay $749.95 for it and available from September.
