Yeah it’s true that the recently announced Olympus E-M1 Mark II camera doesn’t need a tripod while shooting in handheld mode during night for longer exposure.

You will be very surprised to know that the Olympus E-M1 Mark II camera claims to have 6.5 stops of image stabilization that clearly means you can use this camera to capture handheld lonerexposure night shots.

During the test they used two lenses –

  • Olympus 12-40mm F2.8 and
  • Olympus 300mm F4

The Olympus 300mm F4 lens when paired  with the Olympus E-M1 mark II camera delivered sharp images upto 1/4 sec of shutter speed which is really awesome considering 300mm focal length at F4 aperture.
