i like sonyA992
I’m only interested in something like an a99s. I’ve said this before but I shoot mostly video on my current a99 (yes, I’m one of the suckers who believed their PR on how wonderful a video camera it was going to be) which has mush medium and long shots due to line doubling and would only be interested in buying a follow-up a99 if they used an a7s-style low pixel count sensor but taking advantage of the a99’s larger body to allow for internal 4k and better (much better) video AF for glidecam shots.
PS I know they need to come out with a high pixel count a99 as well to compete with large format cameras coming out but an “s” model would have Canon, Nikon, and Panasonic video shooters migrate to Sony in droves.
I choose Sony years ago because of all of the wonderful minolta glass and the price. I feel like that stuck it to us by replacing cameras so fast, (A900 w/99 & 77 w/77II) I can’t afford losing $1000 every 6 months because my new camera is now worth less than 1/2 of what I paid for it. My biggest desire is that the boys would address the noise issue. Cannon & Nikon owners enjoy MUCH better performance in this area. The vast majority of professionals steer clear of Sony for this very reason. It would be nice to see Sony considered a 3rd option for a “real” professional camera.
I’m using Sony (A mount ) and after a while departure on a regular new models A33 -A35 – A37 – A55 – A57 – A58 – A65 – A77 – A99 ( as do other brands) since more than a year the only novelty was a77II being reduced to the A58 and A99 – a77II range , if Sony wants to keep a group of loyal users to the brand needed the a- Mount system for signs of life on an urgent basis .
