Sony today updated the ultra popular RX100 series with RX100 IV camera, the camera features newly developed stacked CMOS sensor with 20.2 MP resolution, the ISO ranges from 125-12800, the stacked sensor allows more light to get into the sensor resulting better low-light performance compared to its predecessor.
The Sony RX100 IV camera uses same 24-70mm lens with F1.8 aperture at wide-end and F2.8 aperture at tele-end, the new camera allows you to acquire continuous shooting speed of 16fps while maintaining the same resolution.
Introduction of electronic shutter in RX100 M IV, the RX100 IV camera uses mechanical shutter featuring a top shutter speed of 1/2,000 which is almost enough for all shooting condition, but wait an electronic shutter is also there to provide the ability to capture at 1/32,000 second.

After so many A7R II rumors finally Sony announced the A7R II camera today, the camera feature BIG BUNCH of improvements over its predecessor,
4 Major improvements compared to its predecessor.
The sensor is completely new – The recently announced a camera feature newly develop HYBRID CMOS AF sensor that has built-in Phase AF points for faster AF.
Revised shutter mechanism – The upcoming camera features new Hybrid shutter mechanism, rated to 500,000 actuation and also promises less vibration compared to its predecessor.
5 Axis Image stabilization – The camera now gains 5-axis image stabilization system, this compensates for five types of camera shake encountered during handheld shooting of still images and video. The system will compensate for approximately 4.5 stops of shutter speed.
4K Video – The camera can record 4K video in multiple formats including Super 35mm (without pixel binning) and full-frame format, a world’s first for digital cameras, The camera can capture 4k (UHD) video at 30p/25p or 24p in the XAVC S 4K format.
Not only that the camera also gains an electronic first curtain shutter option to eliminate shutter vibration, which was a common problem in Sony A7R camera when photographers was using long telephoto lenses . The camera will cost you $3200.

Leica today just announced the long rumored Leica Q camera today, the camera features a fullframe compact 24MP full-frame CMOS sensor, the ISO range of the sensor is 100-50000, on the top of the sensor we have a Fixed 28mm F1.7 ASPH lens with image stabilization.
 The camera can features Mechanical and electronic shutter and capture 10fps of continuous shooting speed, features 3″ 1.04M dot touch-sensitive LCD, the built-in LCoS EVF offers an equivalent resolution of 3.68MP, the camera also comes with Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity with dedicated Leica app.

 A new patent surfaced over the web that clearly shows a new lens by Olympus with F4 aperture and built in image optical-stabilization system,

The patent was filed back in November 2013, I don’t think Olympus will now announce a optically stabilized lens now, after introduction of 5 axis image stabilization system in its cameras.

 This is really a strange rumor since according to the source of SAR website some of the prototypes of the Sony A7R II exist in the wild by having curved sensor inside.
We can’t deny the possibility but Take this rumor with a grain of salt,
Now let’s talk about the curved sensor…
We have published the Sony curved sensor patent on July 6th, 2014, we have also published the sample image captured by curved sensor camera [see here].
The curved sensor is designed to mimic the curvature of human eye, in the curved sensor light directly falls in the center of the sensor and hits the pixel in straight, that completely eliminates the need micro-lenses above the sensor surface.
