According to latest interview surfaced over the web via Spanish site DSLRmagazine, Akihiro Egawa and Makoto Kanai from Sony said that…
When asked if the current FE lenses can resolve future 50+ Megapixel FF sensor the answer was yes!
So that only means that Sony is working on a 50MP fullframe mirrorless camera as suggest by rumors surfaced over the web few weeks ago.
The camera is expected to arrive on 2015, Sony A9 will cost you approx $3000.

That are very good news, because Canon can’t satisfy the pro customers.
The german CPS is really and the camer lineup is really a joke.
My advice: Before you waste your money for a 5Ds or 5Ds R wait what Sony and Nikon do. The 5Ds is only a modified 5D Mark III.
shutter cycle 7D Mark II = 180.000
shutter cycle 5Ds (R) = 150.000
For the double price less shutter cycle? In my eyes the 5ds is not a professional camera.
Put the sensor in a 1D style body with 2 CF card slot and a shutter cycle of 450.000 and I will buy the camera.
What part of that statement confirms Sony is working on a 50 MP camera? All of their lenses and Canon’s have adequate resolving power to work with a 50 MP camera; you’re only talking about 4.1 micron photosites. The Canon 7D II has the same! Doesn’t mean they are working on one.
