canon-50mm-f1.4Buy Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Lens from Amazon USA || Amazon UK || B&H Store

Canon 50mm F1.4 Lens will take your portrait photography to next level, If you are a 50mm F1.8 user than believe me the feeling is similar when you purchase a 50mm F1.8 lens after using the Canon 18-55mm kit lens…

On performance scale the output of 50mm F1.4 is match-less, the bokeh is so smooth and creamy and it’s a haven for low light shooters, I highly recommend you to buy this lens if you want professional quality images.

I wish to know the best lens i can use on my Canon 1200D for movie and musical shooting.

  • admin

Buy a new body (750D or 70D) if you want to shoot movie with fulltime AF, 1200D supports AF before you hit the Video recording button… after that you have to do AF manually.

Will Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 Lens (Canon Version) will work with Canon 7D Mark II.

Best third party Macro Lens for Canon 7D Mark II camera ?

  • admin

    @Nikita Yes it will work

Buy Canon mount compatible version of Sigma 18-35mm lens

  • Rafael

I have the 7DM2 linked with 17-55mm f/2.8 as main, 50mm f/1.4for portrait, 60mm f/2.8 for macro as recommended and 70-200mm f/4 and if needed extender 1.4 instead of the 70-300mm. I have tried to get a better set than this and have not found one; I fully agree with these recommendations, can’t go wrong. Want something cheaper for all around, buy Tamron 16-300mm with several sacrifices, but with only one lens.

Even if you have 17-55 F2.8 Lens we recommend you to get this one, it will shift your image quality to a next level.

Best every day lens for Canon APS-C DSLRs is Sigma 18-35mm Lens, the lens covers a excellent range of 18-35mm and gives you a constant aperture range of F1.8 Aperture. The Lens gives excellent DOF in the entire zoom range and build quality of the lens is very solid. The images captured at wide aperture is tech sharp and color output is excellent.

Buy this lens from Amazon | Amazon UK | B&H Store

I don’t recommend you to go for all in one solution like Tamron 16-300mm lens, the lens can’t compete with the image quality produced by Canon 17-55 F2.8 or Sigma 18-35mm Lens, for zoom purpose 70-200mm f/4 is excellent, if you want more range than go for Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6LUSM.

I purchased a 7D Mark II, was so looking forward to this camera. I have no Canon lenses, three Tamrons, and one Tokina. I shoot real estate and family portrait photography. The 7D MII does not work right with any of my lenses. Canon national repair said it’s my lenses, Tamron and Tokina said it’s the camera. Canon finally said they could fix the problem so I sent to them. I was charged $450 to replace a part totally unrelated to the problem, it still didn’t work right. I sent it back to them demanding they repair it or refund the money, and asked for an explanation for what was going on with Canon. I received the refund but not a word. The camera was shooting two images at once, sometimes three, and sometimes not shoot at all. After some research I found the problem in blogs all over the internet, and even on Canon’s website. All of my lenses work great with my backup Canon 50D, it’s just the 7D MK II with the problem.
Beware of Canon’s National Service Department! I will never use them again.

I use other lenses because my experiences with them have been great, and at one third the price of Canon lenses. It appears to me that a bold DISCLAIMER should have accompanied the introduction of the Canon 7D Mark II. I am very disappointed in them. I see professional photographers every day dumping Canon and Nikon for Sony and Fugi, with Fugi getting the nod. It’s very disheartening what is going on.

To Phil, I have a 7D mkII and must admit, it’s an incredible camera. I have never had an issue with mine from day one. It works flawlessly with any of my Canon, Tamron and Sigma lenses as well as my M42 mounts with converter. I have seen many Nikon and Sony shooters, and their picture quality is awesome, then so is my 7D with my L lenses and many others. It seems that there is something with an image from the 7D that is missing with some of these other cameras which is why I like it so much. Sounds like you must have an iffy camera and I would be going back to the seller. My Sigma 150-500 gave up the ghost where its aperture closed up and would not focus. That is the only issue I came across.
