According to a latest post added by dpreview senior member Michael the Canon 5D Mark IV is expected to arrive this spring, take a look at his words posted on dpreview form
Back on August 2015 we have created and published the article below based on Michel prediction and according to him Canon 5D Mark IV was expected to arrive at the end of 2015, however the rumor / information provided by him turns out to be false and we are still unable to see even the tail of Canon 5D Mark IV.
6 months ago Michael Vadon added a lot information related to 5D successor (which turns out false).
We published the post at the time since his post getting a lot attention of not only dpreview forum members but worlwide rumor mills also reposting the same stuff again and again.

The new 5D camera was developed with the 5DS(r), but Canon wait with the introduction because Canon don’t want to break the 5DS(r) sales.
That’s all.
I’m still waiting for 5d mark 4.
Canon should start leaking some information on purpose. I have met several Canon fans that switched to Sony and cannot be happier. The time when Canon ruled the world after release of 5D2 is gone and the excitement was not repeated with 5DS(r). I wonder how much is Sony cutting to the market shares of Canon in the third Q especially, after release and positive reviews of a7r2. After 20 years with Canon I am renting the a7r2 to test it out. If there is no credible info about Canon’s plans, by the end of the year I will be Sony user….
I have said and will keep saying the Canon 5DX will be out by the end of the year. There will not be a IV. The number 4 in Asia sounds like “death” in many languages on the Asian continent. DSLR sales are already slumping and placing a 4 on the camera will not help sales in Asia.
Of course, there are many doubters but my sources are reliable. We should see Canon unveiling the bodies at the Javits Center. Im not certain if it will be revealed at PhotoPlus or Canon Expo. I have been told PhotoPlus, but there were indications of the Canon Expo.

I’ve been with Canon since ’84 and sadly about to jump ship to Sony. I’m just not happy with the DR issue and since my current lenses are easily compatible it’s easy to leave. I also feel Canon’s gotten so big in the head that, like other company’s nowadays, has treated consumers like they don’t matter. I’m sure Sony will do the same, yet since this is a newer market to them it may be a while. For now I need to be happy.

I am waiting for 5D mark IV but the new Sony Alpha 7r II is looking to me with desire.
Canon can´t sleep for a long more time. Sony and nikon are on the market.
