Macro
Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens is a very nice lens, the EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM offers true macro performance in the EF-S lens series. Having an effective focal length of approximately 96mm in 35mm format, it produces breathtaking close-up results.
Zoom Lens
Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS – The compact and affordable EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS offers a good telephoto performance. Center of the lens performance is best, the lens performance degrades a bit at the wide-end and long-end. The AF is slow but focus accuracy is not a problem.
Hi Sumit,
Sorry for late reply
1. Tamron images are bit sharp compared to Canon. (+ more sharp at wide end)
2. STM technology fully works in 650D and 700D. Old verison of Canon DSLR doesn’t support STM Lenses.
3. If you are a video shooter, you should buy lenses with STM technology to avoid AF noise while recording the videos.
Thanks for your valuable advice, I purchased all the lens you have recommended thanks again.

Looking to upgrade in future so I would want lenses to be compatible.. So much info out there, just looking for opinions 🙂

Hi , I’ve just purchased a used Cannon Rebel EOS T3…body only. I want a multi purpose lens. I’m a beginner ..but i want to start breaking into photography. I travel a lot so like taking photos of street art, buildings, food, sunsets, and the just fun portrait shots of people. I’d like to play with lighting and blurring backgrounds. Any suggestions on lenses. Is there 1 lens that might cover the basics of all this? Or perhaps 2 lenses. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on this…since i am just beginnig. Any help would be great.
I want have a wide angle as well as zoom lens in my canon recommendtion pls
please read canon as cannon 1100 d in the above message
Have a Cannon T3 that has seen very little use. Have the EFS 18-55 mm lens, and 75-300 lens. Would like to get “closer” than the 75-300 lens affords, for wildlife and those “need to reach out” situations. What would you suggest?
I have the 1100D w/kit lens,55-250mm f/4-5.6 and a 50 prime. I am interested in portrait photography and looking to be able to possibly do interior/real estate photography. I want to take my photography to the next level w/o changing the camera body; Any ideas on which would be my next best lens, that is affordable?
I have the Canon EOS Rebel T3 with the 18-15mm (macro .25m 10.8ft) and the Zoom Lens EF 75-300mm(1.5ft/4.9ft). My daughter plays club and school soccer. I am wanting a lens that will get me the close up pictures even when they are on the opposite end. I get pretty good pics with the 75-300. Is there any lens that is better though?
