WVIL Summary (from Artefact’s team)
The WVIL (Wireless Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens) camera is a technically feasible concept envisioned by Artefact’s award-winning design team. This concept is the result of a deep exploration of innovation possibilities in the camera industry as well as the manifestation of a strategic vision for the space. The patent-pending WVIL camera system has three core attributes:
- Smartphone connectivity: takes the connectivity of today’s smart phones for people to quickly and easily share their pictures with their friends and family
- Software platform versatility: by creating an app platform on the camera, the camera becomes extremely versatile tool that can support in-context learning, among other benefits
- SLR quality optics: maximizes use of existent lenses by wirelessly connecting them to the camera body.
