Sony announced a new edition of RX1R fullframe compact camera that features same Sony A7R II 42 MP hybrid CMOS AF sensor with 399 Active Phase AF points. With the introduction of Hybrid AF CMOS sensor the AF speed of the camera increased upto 30% over the RX1R. Now the camera supports 5FPS shooting with continuous AF tracking.
The Sony RX1R II camera is world’s first camera with optical variable low-pass filter that can be set to off, based on the user and situation demand.
The recently announced camera features same Macro switch ring like RX1 that toggles macro mode on and off, the camera can captures subjects as close as 14cm.
However despite of having Same sensor as of Sony A7R II camera Sony RX1 R II is unable to capture 4K video like the A7R II due to its manufacture limitations.
