Sony finally introduced the new A6300 camera along with new sensor and 4D focus.
Let’s talk about the sensor: Both camera features same resolution but both of them are very different.
The new sensor ISO range can be further expanded upto 51200 and features 4D focusing technology supported by 425 Phase AF points as well as 169 contrast based AF points. The Bionz X process the information in no-time and as a result the camera gets AF lock speed of 0.05sec (world fastest).
The Sony also features improved AF tracking compared to its predecessor, the high speed AF also works very well while recording 4K video.
The Sony A6000 was also a excellent camera and its AF points was less in comparison to the current A6300 and 4D AF was also missing.
Overall, the A6300 has done a excellent improvement over the cores specification of the camera.
4K video also introduced in the A6300 camera, the camera can flawlessly record 4K videos on go @ 30fps and Full HD video can be recorded in 120fps and both resolutions utilize the 100 Mbps XAVC S format
Conclusion — At the end we don’t expect any major difference in the image quality of the camera since we got 1-stop ISO increment in Sony A6300. the AF section has a lot of improvement and will give you a very noticable performance compared to the Sony A6000.
The overall core specification of the camera is unmatchable, but the Sony A6300 users can wait for A6400 or A7000 to see a noticable difference in the image quality of the camera.
