The New Olympus SP-810UZ superzoom features  36X optical Zoom, 14 Megapixel 1/2.3 CCD Sensor, ISO range expandable up-to 3200, the new Olympus SP-810UZ can record videos 1280 x 720 (HD 720p). Compatible with SD, SDHC and SDXC memory cards including Eye-Fi media, the Olympus SP-810UZ will be available in black or silver from the start of September for £229.99.

No 5D Mark III in 2011?

Few days ago a Canon rep in Australia says “there will not be a 5D3 in 2011” [NR]

According to canon rumors [CR2] 5D Mark III is not yet a finalized product and there are still 2 decisions to be made before the product is ready for consumption.

  • Split the 5D line into a still camera and an advanced video feature camera.
  • A camera between the 5D Mark III and 1D

So, still the decision is pending about the 5D line split-up and the expected arrival date of new 5D is February 2012

Sony FS100E Firmware Update Coming Soon

According to philip bloom Sony FS100E to get FREE firmware upgrade later in year to enable 24p, 30p, 60p, 60i “Not sure if this is public knowledge yet. I couldn’t find it anywhere, but I just spoke to one of the main Sony Europe chaps who confirmed to me that Sony will be offering the NTSC upgrade to the PAL versions of the FS100 for free, probably around the Winter time.”
