Before we begin let me clarify that we have already published about the arrival of M200 sucessor in RF mount back on march 2023 | We have told you about Canon R200 back on March 9th, 2023 | Now, the same camera is about to arrive an we are expecting Canon will also keep up the same name as we have mentioned back on our post.
According to the latest rumors from reliable sources, Canon will soon announce a new entry-level (possibly Canon R100, although the name isn’t confirmed yet) mirrorless camera and RF 28 mm f/2.8 STM lens. The camera is said to be even more, affordable than the recently announced Canon R50 camera, the upcoming camera will have a body price of only $479. With its lens, you have to pay $599. see more details below

According to the latest rumors that surfaced over the web via Canon rumor mill, the Canon R50 announcement is about to happen in Q1 of 2023. Canon R50 is coming under RF Mount and is said to replace the Canon EOS M50 Mark II camera.
That’s really a piece of great news but what happened to Canon R100 ? is it renamed as Canon R50 or we will have more announcements in near future ? only time will tell. It’s really not that hard to guess the Canon R50 will use the same sensor as of Canon R10 and subtle core specs to protect the R10 sales too.
Although the rumor is very new so we are waiting for more confirmation on this.
And more tip, If Canon and the team do not really put much effort into RF-S lenses, they should allow third-party manufacturers to produce those. That would be a nice start.

According to the latest rumors from reputed rumor mills, Canon M50 Mark II is partially discontinued in Japan. As we all know, the camera makers use a country-wide discontinuation policy.
The same thing happened with the Canon M6 Mark II camera a while ago, on May 4th, 2022 the Canon M6 mark II camera was discontinued [Future Perfect Decision ? Canon M6 Mark II Discontinued] and one the same month on May 24th, 2022 Canon release its RF Replacement the Canon R10 Camera.
Canon cleaning up Canon M50 Mark II Stock Pipe-Lines ?
May be, roughly it will two months to clear up the stock lines completely, then we can expect its RF series repelacement from Canon, the Canon R100 Camera.
Altough we don’t have any specific date or information about Canon R100 camera, but these are the intial setps Canon take (Clearing up stock lines etc) before announcing a new camera.

We are getting more confirmation on arrival Canon R100 camera. According to the latest press reports coming out from Japan, The Canon R10 is not a Canon Kiss Series Camera, just like we have the Canon xxD series in DSLRs (60D, 70D, 80D, and 90D) all have the same name worldwide, in the same fashion R10 (Rxx) will have the same name, no change.

The appearance and the impression when gripping were also close to “EOS Kiss X90”. They may have the same mount diameter.

We were the first website to publish Canon R100 information in (May 2022). Now, we are getting more confirmations about the Canon EOS R100. The camera will have a 24MP Sensor same as we have seen in the Canon R10 (with updated Microlenses).

Canon just announced the Canon R10 and Canon R7 cameras. If you look at the chronological names then in the base area we have only two positions left after the Canon R6, and the first one is the Canon R8, and 2nd one Canon R9 camera?

2. Canon EOS R1 Arrival Date
We are keeping away the Canon R1 camera from our expectation list since we have a lot of info related to the upcoming flagship camera and we are almost sure, that the development announcement is about to happen in Q4 2022 and a full-fledged announcement will happen in the beginning months of 2023.
Canon EOS R1 Specification: Initial rumor suggests that canon does have working prototypes of the Canon R1 camera with a 45-megapixel stacked CMOS sensor. The camera can capture 45 megapixels of images at 30 frames per second with unlimited buffer memory and is also capable of recording 8k videos up to 60 fps. But yes keep in mind camera makers always test several prototypes of a flagship camera before putting it over on the production line. We are keeping an eye on rumors and as soon as we get more information related to them we will be posting on this website.
3. Canon R9
Now let’s talk about the Canon EOS RP replacement. This is not exactly an expectation. it’s a kind of a tip we have, Canon EOS RP camera replacement name is Canon R9. We are not expecting a big jump in the core specs of the camera. All it will have a mediocre update with Digic x image processor, and proper 4K video recording mode up to 30fps.
4. Canon R8
The possible name of the upcoming Canon EOS R camera successor would be Canon R8. And again if you talk about the specification then yes we are again expecting a mediocre update with an improved image processor and possibly the same sensor with updated microlenses
5. Canon R100
According to the latest rumor surfaced over the web Canon is expected to announce the Canon R100 camera in Q3-Q4 of 2023. The Canon R100 camera will replace the Rebel series of DSLRs. And will provide a more affordable option than the Canon EOS R10.
