Olympus announced its new Waterproof, Shockproof, Freezeproof, Crushproof and Dustproof camera TG-820 iHS, It features new 12-megapixel BSI (Back-Side Illuminated) CMOS sensor and the TruePic VI image processor, 5X optical Zoom, Sensor shift Image stabilization and ISO range Up to 6400.
The Olympus Tough TG-820 iHS will be available in March and ships with a Wrist Strap, USB Cable, A/V Cable, USB-to-AC Adapter (F-2AC), Lithium-Ion Battery (LI-50B), Quick Start Guide, Instruction Manual on CD-ROM, a software CD-ROM featuring [ib] (Windows) and OLYMPUS Viewer 2 (Win/Mac), and a Warranty Card.

 New firmware update arrived for Nikon V1 and J1, miss-communication issue with the Speedlight SB-N5 flash now resolved, and according to Nikon “When switching from framing photos in the monitor to using the electronic viewfinder, or vice versa, with focus mode set toMF (manual focus) and the display zoomed in, the camera sometimes did not function properly. This issue has been resolved.”

On a reply to question asked by Adrian, Chuck Westfall (Canon tech guru) said “Have some more patience my friend, the new 5D will be here very soon.”
Adrian The 5D2 is available and affordable…but apparently has issues, right FC? So I don’t know if I want to go that way, so it’s more waiting for some info the 5D2 replacement.
“This really makes me feel like canon as given up on the still people and is focusing on the video market.”….

 Pentax updated its rugged line-up with WG-2 and WG-2 GPS, the WG-2 GPS comes with GPS and WG-2 without GPS, both share same core specification, the WG-2/WG-2 GPS comes with 16MP back-illuminated CMOS sensor, Pentax’s macro light design by adding an extra LED for illuminating objects close to the lens, you can also record 1080p30 Full HD movies, 460k dot LCD screens and infrared remote control compatibility for remote shooting.

In March 2012, the Canon CameraWindow application is expected to be available on the Apple App Store for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touchto further enhance the connectivity options. With this App, users can transfer and save images and videos from the camera to compatible iOS devices, which can then be directly uploaded to Facebook and YouTube or emailed. Photos and videos can also be shared on-the-spot with friends and family by transmitting to another current Wi-Fi-enabled Canon camera as well. A similar app is expected to be available in May for Android devices.
