As you can new Olympus E-M5 Mark III camera is using same sensor as we have in the Olympus E-M1 Mark II camera. And only Olympus E-M5 III is the only camera in the group which offers 120FPS in Full HD video recording mode.
Based on the price and specification we are getting, Olympus E-M5 Mark III camera is a excellent option.
I would venture to suggest a little more care is required in presenting such details above.
For instance the centre column header ought to be the E-M5 III where you have put identical headers of E-M5 II for the first column.
Then, for continuous shooting (without/with AF), for the 2nd and 3rd columns you seem to have the data reversed! With continuous AF the fps will be slower or less than without continuous AF. You have it the other way round.
And you seem to have failed to mention the 4K capability of these 3 Olympus cameras.
And there is a thickness dimension missing from the E-M1 II.
Thank you,
Phil.
@Phil
Thanks, I have corrected the issues.
I see no compelling reason to replace my OM-D E-M10 Mk I… It has a feature none of the above cameras have- a built-in flash.
Y’all have a bunch of mistakes in the table, and seem to have mixed in E-M1 Mark I data into the Mark II column. Specifically:
* The E-M5 Mark III uses an OLED viewfinder, not LCD.
* The CAF vs. none numbers are reversed.
* The E-M5 Mark III and E-M1 Mark II peak at 237Mb/s video (DCI-4K).
* The E-M5 Mark III and E-M1 Mark II are rated for 5.5 stops stabilization.
* Accessory Port? All three have a bottom panel port for grip controls and, at least for the E-M5 Mark II and E-M1 Mark II, grip power.
* The E-M1 Mark II is rated for 440 shots.
* The E-M1 Mark II has a fully articulated screen.
* The E-M1 Mark II is sized: W:134.1mm H:90.9mm D:68.9mm
Thanks Dave for the details, now the table is more accurate.
It seems there’s a number of other comparisons as I read that the new III has bluetooth as well? Does it also have Focus bracketing/stacking, etc.?
Seems I might consider replacing my ailing EM-1 II with one of these instead of paying double for the 1x
