Nikon P-series cameras are generally point and shoot, with probably some exceptions. The Nikon P900 is an 83X lens. Going out this far with a point and shoot to 2000mm seems a bit much to me. The argument of course will be that to get that far out, you would have to have a gigantic, very expensive lens on a DSLR to accomplish this. I suppose a print with bad IQ is better than no print at all. I am guessing this P700 will be somewhat similar to the P900. I own a DSLR and a Nikon L840 point and shoot for my grab and go camera, 38X. $230.00.
