Good News, Sigma is working on ultra wide angle ART lenses, the first upcoming ultra wide angle lens name not revealed yet but according to the rumor mills Sigma may announce 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 DG Lens, let’s hope for the best and stay with us for latest updates and rumors.

 Sigma today announced its new dp series camera named dp0,The sensor used inside is same as the as the other Quattro series camera, the sensor builds on the distinctive properties of the X3 technology, which uniquely records red, green and blue wavelengths at each pixel location within three layers.
dp0 Quattro incorporates a fixed, high performance 14mm F4 lens, for optimized performance the lens features Low Dispersion (FLD) glass elements, two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements, and two aspheric lenses, including a wide double-sided aspheric lens. This reduces chromatic aberration and distortion, which are characteristics typically present in super wide angle photography.

 The upcoming Sigma DP3 Quattro image published by Sigma itself by having a coming soon tag on their website, the camera is expected to arrive on camera and photo imaging show 2015 at Japan, that starts from Feb 12 and ends on Feb 15.
The Sigma DP1 features 19mm f/2.8 lens, DP2 equipped with a 30mm f/2.8 lens, the dp3 will have a 50mm f/2.8 lens as we can see in the image also. All these three camera will share same 29MP Foveon X3 Quattro CMOS Image Sensor.

According to Kazuto Yamaki CEO from Sigma Sigma twice confirmed that they are not in the mood to develop an interchangeable mirrorless system yet and on the lens side they will continue to make lenses for APS-C sensor and FF based DSLRs and but they have no plan to develop Fullframe Sony E-mount lenses.
