New post in the pentax forum, mirror slap is an issue for the K-5. Pentax camera operation manuals always advise to turn off the SR when mounting the camera on a tripod, turning on the SR OFF and mounting the camera on a tripod not slove the problem, the problem not totally eliminated unless the mirror is locked up.

The camera will be initially available with in one lens kit and the sensor will be 1/2.33″ in. The Pentax NC-1 will have a flash hot shoe. Announcement should be in the next 1-3 months.

 Today photorumors said the new mirrorless camera from Pentax will be called NC-1, In addition, there will be be a new Pentax K-5 Silver DSLR and new point and shoot camera Pentax RZ-18 with 3″ swivel LCD, 14MP sensor, 18X optical zoom expected to arrive in February 2011.
