The sensor of the both the camera is almost identical, we have same resolution, ISO range and even the image processor of the camera is also same. Hence we don’t expect a major difference between the image quality of both the camera.

From the table of the specification comparison of both the camera we are not able to spot any major difference between these two camera, most of the Core specification are almost identical

The sensor size, resolution, ISO range and image processor of both the camera is identical, hence both the camera will give same image quality .

The only noticeable difference is the introduction of a new battery that can capture 1200 shots in a single Recharge whereas the battery of Nikon D3300 camera was limited to 700 shots in a single Recharge The Other noticeable difference is Nikon D3400 is bi lightweight and Introduction of Snap Bridge in Nikon D3400 camera that will include more options to the user for sharing his image wirelessly with the help of a WiFi network

Conclusion if you are a owner of Nikon D 3300 camera we recommend you to hold your purchase hand don’t buy the recently announced Nikon D3400 camera since the camera doesn’t have sufficient amount of upgrades and its Core specification remains identical to its predecessor except minor changes. For the owner of Nikon D 3300 camera we recommend you to get Nikon D 5500 camera since it will uplift your photography to next level.

Price difference – The Nikon D3400 will cost you $100 extra, I don’t get any logical reason to spend $100 extra cash on camera that features same specification. I recommend you to get Nikon D3300 combo pack (B&H) that includes a zoom lens and a camera travel bag ans will cost you bit higher than the Nikon D3300.

Sensor: Both the camera both camera uses APS-C format sensor, however the sensor of Nikon D3400 is slightly less in size compared to the sensor of 1300D.

If you look at the resolution of both the camera, then you can see that 1300D remains limited to 18 megapixel resolution, whereas the Nikon D3400 features 24 megapixel sensor. Having more resolution will give you more details in your images and a option to crop your images and create our desired composition later on.

AF System: The Canon 1300D and Nikon D3400 camera features hybrid auto-focus system. The 1300D features 9 Phase AF points whereas Nikon D3400 features 11 Point auto focus system. We can say the difference is negligible. Nikon greater number of AF points compare to Canon.

The Nikon D3300 camera features ISO range upto 25600 whereas the Canon DSLR remains limited to 12800. it’s a single stop difference between both the camera but it will sure put noticeable difference on the image quality of both camera during low light test.

Nikon finally announced the Nikon D3400 camera, it is the entry level DSLR from Nikon features 24 megapixel CMOS sensor and records full HD video, the camera can shoot continuous images @ 5 frames per second and also its features a large 3 inch display on the rear side with a optical pentaprism viewfinder.

Nikon first time included a ultrasonic sensor cleaning Technology inside the recently announced entry level camera. Nikon has also extended the battery capability of the entry level DSLR Nikon D3400, now you can capture 700 shots on a single charge.
