After a long wait Nikon finally announced its mirrorless compact DSLR Nikon V1, The Nikon V1 features Newly developed 10.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and super high-speed AF, phase detection and contrast detection autofocus, both the model offer standard sensitivities of ISO 100 to 3200, with the ability to further increase sensitivity to an equivalent of ISO 6400 with a Hi 1 setting. They also support matrix metering, center-weighted metering and spot metering, the Nikon V1 also offers world’s fastest continuous shooting rate of 10fps with AF, Nikon V1 also offer Full HD video recording at 60 fps, V1 is equipped with a bright, high-contrast electronic viewfinder (EVF) with a resolution of approximately 1440k-dot (SVGA). It is extremely clear with a frame coverage of approximately 100%.

Today the Nikon V1 & J1 image appeared here, Nikon will soon announce the Nikon V1 and Nikon J1 mirrorless camera, according to Nikon Rumor both will look identical, except that one will have a self timer LED on the top right and different colors for the lens release button (one will be black, the other will be silver). Nikon V1 comes with a built-in high resolution EVF and will come in black and white. The Nikon J1 will not have an EVF and will come in 5 colors: red, pink, grey, white and black.
