Few days ago ephotozine and focus-numerique published High ISO test result of Fujifilm X10, Now Techradar published Fujifilm X10 review …”Just as it did with the FinePix X100, Fuji has managed to make a camera with the Fuji FinePix X10 that not only looks the part, but delivers on image quality and handling too.
The well-constructed metal body is robust, easy to use and looks very smart too. Image quality is as good as any high-end compact camera can deliver at the moment, especially if the EXR modes are used to their strengths.”

Canon is getting into medium format? Not yet, NL published interesting quote from an interview with Canon 1D X developers (Japan)
“While we hear the voices, we want to see what the actual sales numbers will be for the 1D X and so determine how many 10,000s of customers we might be losing if we do not introduce a higher resolution camera and if the projected profitability of a higher resolution 24×36 mm format camera will justify development, marketing, and manufacturing investments , or if there is a sustainable market for the even greater costs of development, marketing, and manufacturing medium format cameras and lenses – an area where we have no internal expertise.”

New world thinnest camera module for smartphone developed by sharp, it features 12.1-Megapixel, 1/3.2-type back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, F2.5 Lens, Optical IS and RAW format output, The module also supports full HD (1080p) video capture with optical IS to reduce the blur caused by hand or low-light condition.
Press Release
Sharp Corporation has developed a 12.1-Megapixel, 1/3.2-type CMOS camera module with optical image stabilization that features the industry’s thinnest profile (5.47 mm in height). The new RJ63YC100 is intended for use in mobile devices such as smartphones. Sample shipments will begin from December 2, 2011.
The new module’s thin profile has been developed in response to the demand for portable mobile devices with ever more slender designs. The module also addresses the need for embedded cameras in these devices to deliver superior image quality and camera functionality, including connectivity to AV equipment and personal computers.
The optical image stabilizer in this camera module uses a lens-shift system to control the lens inside the module. Sharp’s proprietary high-density packaging technology has made it possible to achieve the industry’s thinnest profile in this type of camera module, which is expected to help reduce the thickness of mobile devices such as smartphones.
High-quality images can be captured in a wide variety of situations that are typically prone to blurring caused by camera shake, such as shooting under dim light conditions or shooting moving subjects. The module also supports full HD (1080p) video capture, which enables smartphone owners to take high-definition video with reduced blurring and transfer the video to an LCD TV for viewing on a large screen.
