The rumored olympus OM-D E-M5 finally announced, the camera features 16-megapixel Live MOS image sensor, the OM-D offers continous shooting at 9 fps, the OM-D is equipped with the world’s first 5-axis image stabilization system, OM-D is the first Olympus camera to feature a 3-inch tilting OLED touchscreen monitor.
The Olympus E-M5 is compatible with all Micro Four Thirds-compliant lenses, including two new lenses that Olympus will introduce later this year: the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 75mm f1.8 and the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 60mm f2.8 macro. The 75mm lens is a high-quality metal design with fast aperture settings for portraits and indoor sports shooting, while the dustproof and splashproof 60mm lens features 1:1 macro and a closest shooting distance of just 7.5 inches.

Olympus announced today a new compact superzoom camera, it features a 24x optical zoom, 16MP back-lit CMOS sensor that allows to capture 1080p Full HD movies, ISO range up to 6400, for high speed processing the SZ-31MR comes with twin TruePic V processors, with SZ 31MR you get a high-res 3.0-inch 920k dot touchscreen for crystal clear display.

The new SZ-31MR have Multi Motion Movie IS (Image Stabilization for video) and Dual Image Stabilization (for still images) all but eliminate blur, even when you’re moving and shooting at the same time. New firmware update arrived for Nikon V1 and J1, miss-communication issue with the Speedlight SB-N5 flash now resolved, and according to Nikon “When switching from framing photos in the monitor to using the electronic viewfinder, or vice versa, with focus mode set toMF (manual focus) and the display zoomed in, the camera sometimes did not function properly. This issue has been resolved.”

On a reply to question asked by Adrian, Chuck Westfall (Canon tech guru) said “Have some more patience my friend, the new 5D will be here very soon.”
Adrian The 5D2 is available and affordable…but apparently has issues, right FC? So I don’t know if I want to go that way, so it’s more waiting for some info the 5D2 replacement.
“This really makes me feel like canon as given up on the still people and is focusing on the video market.”….
