The camera covers such a unique focal length with a large 1″ sensor and a pocketable size that I am going to pore-order it right now.
At 50mm focal length the camera is perfect for shooting portraits and at 18mm focal length the camera can shoot street and architecture perfectly. Both the recently announced camera features newly designed optional DF-E1 2,359k-dot resolution with eye sensor electronic viewfinder (EVF). More details about the models available in press release.

Samsung today announced new Samsung S7 ans S7 edge smartphones, before we begin I must tell you that both the device have same camera module.
The Samsung S7 become the world first smart phone to use the Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology after Canon DSLRs, currently Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 1DX Mark II and 80D using the same technology for auto-focusing, while live view shooting
A look back to Canon Dual-pixel CMOS AF Technology
What is actually Dual-pixel AF
Canon was the first company to introduce Dual-Pixel AF technology. Canon Dual-Pixel CMOS AF system is a complete breakthrough in the field of Auto-focusing technology. The Canon 70D announced on Jul 2, 2013 was the first camera that features Dual-Pixel CMOS AF technology.
The Dual-pixel CMOS AF Sensor features two photodiodes distributed to each microlens. As a result, two parallax images are captured at once. With Dual Pixel CMOS AF, the amount of lens drive is calculated from the amount of signal difference (amount of shift) in the AF points. When the signals of two photodiode are in agreement the Focus is achieved.
The Dual Pixel CMOS AF takes very shorter focusing times and gives you exceptional tracking performance and smoother autofocusing during video shooting.
Its no doubt that by reducing pixels the smartphone is now able to give next level of low-light performance and by adding the Dual-pixel CMOS AF the autofousing speed increased dramatically.
Samsung Dual Pixel AF Tech.
As you can see from the picture same as Canon the Samsung S7 and S7 edge camera modules do the same Job as Canon, the two sub-pixel inside senor work together to calculate the lens drive and acquire AF lock on subject.
Does Canon and Samsung Sony silently signed a Deal ?
Since the AF tech Samsung using is a patent technology of Canon See Dual pixel Patents here | here], and Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge use Sony IMX260 camera sensor according to sammobile website
But the best part is the camera module will soon spread over different devices, we will soon see affordable devices by having the same module.
Take a look at the videos:
The camera comes with a bright F1.7 lens to take awesome, even in low light. It also supports a Selfie Flash feature via AMOLED display of the phone as a camera flash when taking selfies.

SENSOR – Canon 80D is better than Canon 70D – Yes
The sensor inside the Canon 80D is completely new and features more standard ISO range compared to the Canon 70D camera, 4+ pixels inside the sensor resolution will add more details yo your images by maitning the same or may be better level of low-light performance.
Auto Fous – Canon EOS 80D is Better than Canon EOS 70D
Upgraded Phase AF Module AF System (45 vs 19 AF points)
The camera features upgraded Phase AF moudle AF system that carries 45 Points all cross type and the most advance part of this camera is 27 of the points are capable of focusing down to f/8 while shooting with super tele-photo lenses. Canon 70D AF system was limited to 19 point AF only, so its a big positive change on terms of dedicated Phase AF module inside the camera.
Upgraded Dual Pixel CMOS AF System inside Canon 80D (Fast AF during live shooting )
We have completely new Dual pixel CMOS AF sensor inside the of the Canon 80D camera, the 24MP camera sensor is developed with next generation of Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology used inside the Canon 7D Mark II camera and its AF performance during Live view shooting and video recording is significantly better than Canon EOS 70D.
Advance Image processor inside the Canon 80D compared to Canon 70D
The Canon 80D arrived with DIGIC 6 image processor inside the camera and the 70D was using Canon Dual DIGIC 6 image processor and as a result we can see slight increase in the performance speed of the Canon 80D DSLR.
Maintaing the Continuous shooting speed despite if increase in resolution – The Canon 80D carries 4MP + resolution compared to Canon 70D, but the continuous shooting speed of both the camera remains same.
Standard ISO range also pushed to approximate 1+ stop, the standard ISO range of the Canon 80D camera has been pushed up to 16000 but believe me it won’t going to show up any significant difference.
Canon 80D vs Canon 70D High ISO Test
Canon 80D does show bit improvement over Canon 70D but that not sufficient to upgrade your Canon 70D camera with 80D, I will suggest you to wait for Canon 90D or get a Fullframe camera.
Canon 80D or Canon 70D – Finale Verdict
Canon 80D features new sensor and advance AF system, hence you can see in the High ISO test that despite of increase in resolution the camera is still showing less noise compared to Canon 70D camera, hence we recommend you to get Canon 80D over Canon 70D.
