According to latest rumors the upcoming fujifilm X-Pro2 will feature newly developed X-Trans sensor,however there is no detailed specification of X-Pro 2 sensor is available yet… but we are sure the upcoming sensor will feature 3rd generation of X-Trans technology.
The other factors that will force fuji to implement a new sensor inside the upcoming flagship mirrorless camera is the low sales of Fuji X100T and Fuji X30 model, since both the models features same sensor as their predecessor…
Fuji is expected to announce the X Pro 2 camera in Q1 of 2015… however we are hoping to hear some good news from Fuji this January.

Both camera look similar form outside but do they differ from inside or almost have same core specification, take a look at the core difference below…
 Unfortunately both camera are using 16 Mp APS-C X-Trans CMOS II Sensor and EXR II image processor, hence the image quality will remains same from both the camera.
Both camera share same Fujinon 23mm f/2 Fixed Focal Length Lens,
Again in AF system there is no change, Both the camera shares same Hybrid AF system and AF points, so again no change here.
Since the sensor is same and image processor is also same, by implementing new image processing algorithm, Fuji is able to get ISO upto 51200. But it doesn’t mean you will see significant difference in the image quality of both the camera.
A redesigned shutter mechanism, which is now entirely electronic, also delivers quickened shutter speeds up to 1/32,000 sec.

Verdict: If you are a owner of X100S than wait for Fuji X200, since there is no change in the sensor, image processor and lens of both the camera.

 The Fujifilm X30 is a clone of X20 camera, since it features same small sensor and image processor as of X20 camera, on the other side we have Sony RX100 M3 camera that features 1 inch large sensor and very small and compact body design… take a look at the core specification below….
 Sensor Tech: The fujifilm features 2/3″ CMOS image sensor and built with X-Trans bespoke pixel array, the pixel pattern literally reduce the need of optical low pass filter above the sensor, the other major advantage of the X-Trans sensor is the presence of active phase AF pixels inside the sensor, so you get HYBRID AF system that uses contrast and phase AF method with the X30 camera to acquire AF.
the Sony RX100 M3 comes with large 20.1 megapixel 1″ Exmor R CMOS sensor features backside-illuminated technology, due to the large sensor size and bright optical lens the sensor get more light compared to Fuji X30 sensor and the difference is clearly visible… the RX100 M3 does produces excellent level of details in the images by maintaining the minimum amount of noise.
Lens: As we have already said that the lens used in the RX100 M3 camera delivers more light compared to the X30 camera not only due to the difference in the aperture range but also due to the difference in the size of lens elements, the RX100 M3 lens elements are designed for large sensor by and they also feature low aperture range… so the RX100M3 will provide more shallow DOF and noise less low-light images when compared to the X30.
Being small the Fuji lens is able to focus as close as 1cm, the Sony RX100 M3 macro range is limited to 5 cm, you also get 1X more optical zoom lens with Fuji X30.
AF System: We have no doubt that the Fuji X30 will do faster AF since it features advance AF sensor that utilizes Phase and Contrast based methods, on the other side we have Sony RX100 M3 uses traditional contrast detect AF system.
Top continuous speed: Fujifilm x30 can take up to 12 continuous shots whereas Sony RX100 III can take up to 10 shots continuously.
Display: Both the cameras support the same 3” tilting LCD but their pixels varies. Sony RX100 III has a pixel density of 1,228,800 pixels whereas Fujifilm x30 has a pixel density of 920000 pixels.
Hot Shoe: Fujifilm x30 has a hot shoe on its body to attach an external flash for better lightning conditions when required.
Battery life: Fujifilm X30 can take 470 shots in one cycle but Sony RX100 III can take 320 shots only.
Dimensions: Sony RX100 III is smaller than Fujifilm X30.

 Now finally photokina is over and but unfortunately we haven’t seen any innovative product from Fujifilm this year, during an interview by admiringlight Torben Hondong of fujifilm said the following words
Finally, I asked Mr. Hondong about any news on the long-awaited replacement for the X-Pro 1.
Mr. Hondong said that it was difficult. Shooters of the X-Pro 1 desire the hybrid optical finder, and they are thinking of ways to bring something like the EVF of the X-T1 into a hybrid finder, but that this proves challenging to fit into a body that people expect. To be clear, he wasn’t confirming that an X-T1 sized finder would be in an X-Pro 2, but that the fact that the X-T1 exists makes designing the new finder challenging due to expectations. He mentioned the X100s and T improving on the hybrid finder of the X100, and that Fuji would see how the response to the X100T was to consider the options for any potential X-Pro replacement.
I was also hoping to hear few words about the sensor tech they are developing,.. BTW we will update you soon as we get any new information.

Fujifilm X100T is just announced by the fujifilm today, the camera features same 16MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS II sensor, 23mm F2 lens and EXR II processor as of its predecessor, the new features list include advance OVF and LCD display screen.
other improvements include introduction of classic chrome mode, a bit more wide ±3 exposure compensation dial, now you get an aperture ring with 1/3 steps and seven customizable Fn buttons.
So basically if we get same X100S camera with same image processor, sensor and lens… but upgraded OVF and display screen..and with the help of new firmware the camera hardware limits are pushed one-stop more.. however we won’t notice any major difference in the image quality of both the camera.

Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder with Electronic Rangefinder
The FUJIFILM X100T uses an improved Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder with Electronic Rangefinder that allows focusing as if using a mechanical rangefinder. While in optical viewfinder mode, pushing the OVF / EVF switching lever to the left will switch the viewfinder to electronic rangefinder mode. Additionally, Focus Peak Highlight and Digital Split Image can be selected, and the magnification of the focused area can be changed. Compared to the X100S, the frame coverage in the X100T has been increased from 90% to 92%, and the field of view can now be accurately checked closer to the actual subject. The X100T also uses Real-time parallax correction for more accurate image composition. Reframing after bringing the image into focus is no longer necessary, allowing for a seamless shooting experience.
Photographers also now have access to Shooting Effect Reflection settings within the Hybrid Viewfinder to recreate selected camera effects, including Film Simulations. When turned off, users can see the natural view. The image within the finder is displayed at the maximum frame when shooting under dim light and dark areas such as night scenes, enabling shooting while looking at a smooth image, all while greatly reducing display lag time.
Range of controls expanded, upgraded body
The FUJIFILM X100T now allows photographers to set the aperture to 1/3 steps using the aperture ring, while the exposure compensation dial has been extended to ±3 stops. Also, the command lever has been changed to a command dial, and through the adoption of a 4-way controller to improve operability. The X100T is also now equipped with 7 customizable Fn buttons for a truly personal shooting experience.
The FUJIFILM X100T has an upgraded body that is die-cast magnesium on the top surface and bottom of the body for a highly durable and functional design. The X100T’s aperture ring, shutter speed dial, and exposure compensation dial now have a groove shaped pattern for an improved feel and grip. The X100T also features a high-definition 1.04M-dot 3″ LCD has for extraordinary visibility.

 Fujifilm X-T1 sliver finally announced by Fujifilm, one thing is sure that Fujifilm X-T1 is coming with some sort of software update… the new features include electronic shutter that allows you to use shutter speed upto 1/32000 without noise + the new film simulation mode is also added and price is approx price is about 1500 Canadian Dollar.
