Fuji X-T6 Coming in August 2025

A lot of buzz going around regarding the announcement date of Fuji X-T6 camera, but let’s discuss the arrival time of the Fuji X-T6 camera.

Fuji X-T4 Feb 2020
Feb 2021
Feb 2022
Fuji X-T5 Nov 2022
Nov 2023
Nov 2024
Fuji X-T6 June – Aug 2025

If you consider the last two announcements of the Fuji XT series cameras, you can see that Fuji is taking more than 33 months to update each of its latest models. So, it’s very clear that if Fuji stays on its current schedule, we will likely see the next Fuji X-T6 camera sometime in June-Aug 2025.

This means that those who are expecting the arrival of the Fujifilm XT6 camera in 2024 may be disappointed with this news. However, we do know that this year we will have the Fuji X-Pro 4 and Fuji X-100 VI cameras loaded with Fuji’s 40MP Sensor.

Confirmed: Fuji X-Pro 4 & X-100 VI | Exclusive: Fuji Registers Yet Another Camera!

Recently, Fuji registered one more camera  FF240001 (2023AJ20262, 2023-12-08)  with a wireless certification agency. So now, we have a total of 4 cameras planned for 2024. That’s really very exciting, and I am looking forward to seeing what Fuji brings to us in 2024

List of Fuji Cameras Coming in 2024

We have previously reported that the Fuji X 100 VI and Fuji X-Pro 4 are coming. After our post, multiple websites published the same and even confirmed after a while, that yes Fuji X100 VI is coming with a 40MP sensor [see our article previously published here and here with specs]. Take a look at the possible specifications of the upcoming Fuji X-100 VI camera

Fuji X-100 VI Camera

  • 40MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR BSI Sensor
  • X-Processor 5 Image Processor
  • Fujinon 23mm F2 Lens / OR Maybe a new lens
  • Hybrid 0.52x OVF with 3.69m-Dot OLED EVF
  • 3.0″ 1.62m-Dot Tilting Touchscreen
  • DCI/UHD 4K Video Recording at 60 fps
  • 425-Point Hybrid AF System | Improved AF Tracking
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connectivity
  • Film Simulation Modes

Fuji X-Pro3, Fuji X-E4, and Fuji X-T4 were discontinued back in July 2023, but after that Fuji announced the Fuji X-T5, Saying Goodbye to the X-E: Fuji will NOT continue the Fuji X-E lineup. At the same time, we are sure that the arrival of Fuji X-Pro 4 is imminent.

The discontinuation of the X-E line marks the end of an era for Fuji street shooter cameras with compact and minimal design. However, the X-E series faced increasing competition from both Fujifilm’s own X-S line (like Fuji X-S10 and X-S20 cameras) and other brands offering similar features at more competitive prices. While the X-E series may be gone, our hope is high with the Fujis Flagship camera, the upcoming Fuji X-Pro 4. This highly anticipated camera is expected to continue the legacy of the iconic X-Pro line, known for its unique hybrid optical/electronic viewfinder (OVF/EVF) and minimalist HYbrid design.

So We are expecting Not only the arrival of the Fuji X-Pro IV this year but also the successor of the Fuji GFX-100S camera,

Fuji X-Pro 4 Specification [Expectation]

  • 40MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR BSI Sensor
  • X-Processor 5 Image Processor
  • 4K 60p 4:2:2 10-Bit Video
  • 7-Stop In-Body Image Stabilization
  • 425-Point Intelligent Hybrid AF System
  • 3.69m-Dot OLED Electronic Viewfinder
  • Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connectivity
  • ProRes & Blackmagic RAW via HDMI

New Medium Format – Fuji GFX 100S Mark II

The Fuji GFX 100S Mark II camera is expected to arrive in the Q1 of 2024. The sensor will remain the same as of its predecessor but we are expecting a huge improvement in AutoFOcus and the Video of the camera.

The Fuji X-A and X-T200 series have now been discontinued by Fujifilm. The only remaining series with a PASM dial is the Fuji X-S, which is experiencing high demand. We hope and expect that Fujifilm will announce the Fuji X-S30 at Q4 of 2024, featuring enhanced core specifications.

We will post more updates as soon as we get it

Fuji GFX 100S Mark II Coming in Q1 of 2024

The Fuji GFX 100S Mark II camera is expected to arrive in the Q1 of 2024 according to the latest rumors.  The rumor mill also mentions that there will be at least 3 new cameras in the first half of 2024, including the successor of the Fuji X1005 APS-C compact camera.

Fuji recently registered a new Camera model with a wireless certification agency, so there is a high possibility that the Fuj GFX100S II is the newly certified camera.

Without a doubt, the information we get from the Fujirumormills is approximately 100% correct. At the same time, we have told you that Fuji’s  X100F successor will arrive in the first quarter of 2024. we do expect Fuji will use its 40-megapixel X-Trans CMOS sensor in the X100 VI compact APS-C body, and here is the expected set of course specifications we have related to that.

We don’t know anything about the third camera, but for sure, the Fuji X-Pro 4 announcement is due and we are expecting it to arrive in the first half of 2024. Stay tuned more updates coming soon.

Fuji Registered New Camera FF230003 | Fuji X-Pro 4 OR Fuji X-S100 VI ?

Fuji registered another camera with the wireless certification agency. The model code of the camera is  FF230003. If you look at the initial specifications, the model carries 5.8 GHz and 5.1 GHz wireless specifications, which clearly indicates it’s likely a high-end model.

Shocking: Fuji X-T5 and X-S20 Sales Halted

After the Confirmation of the EXIT of Fuji from the entry-level camera market, Fuji also halted production of the Fuji X-T5 and Fuji X-S20 cameras for an indefinite time, or until there is a notice of restoration of supply.

Dear customers

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Fujifilm products.

We are currently receiving orders for some mirrorless digital cameras that are far exceeding our initial plans due to continued strong sales and a sharp increase in inbound demand, and we are unable to keep up with product supply. We will temporarily suspend accepting orders starting today. Additionally, it will take some time for products that have already been ordered to be delivered. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers.

We will inform you again on our website regarding when orders will be resumed.

We will do our best to deliver the product as soon as possible, so we appreciate your understanding.

Products subject to order suspension

Digital camera “FUJIFILM X-T5” black/silver

Digital camera lens kit “FUJIFILM X-T5/XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OIS” Black/Silver

Digital camera “FUJIFILM X-S20”

Digital camera lens kit “FUJIFILM X-S20/XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ”

So, what’s going on with Fuji? Their representative confirmed that they have exited from the entry-level camera market and there will be no more X-T200, X-T5, or even X E series cameras in the market. Now, in the latest press release, they are saying due to excessive demand they have suspended any further orders of the Fuji X-T5 and X-S20 cameras

BIG PRICE DROP in Fuji Medium Format Camera GFX100S Body

From October 23, 2023, Fuji will cut the price of Fuji GFX 100S from 39,800 ($5441)  RMB to 29990 RMB ($4000 approx ). I hope and expect this massive price drop isn’t limited to China ONLY.  Do check B&H Store after October 23, to check the price of the GFX 100S camera.

Fuji Left Entry Level Market

The popular French photography news website, Phototrend, was fortunate enough to secure an interview with Franck Bernard, Director of the Imaging Division at Fujifilm France, and what he said in the interview was really surprising

If we have decided to stop entry-level products such as X-T200 or X-E4, it is because it is not promising as a market – Franck Bernard

Fuji has left the entry-level market. In an interview, they confirmed that they have ended the XT 200 series cameras and no further updates will arrive. Along with that, the XE line is also discontinued.

I was expecting the Entry Level of Cameras is about to rise after AI AF introduced in X-Cameras along with a bunch of new third-party lens option

They have recently developed an advanced system and introduced it in their Fuji XH2S camera. Just after that, they introduced it in one of their semi-pro APS-C bodies, the Fuji XS20. Now, with an advanced artificial autofocusing mechanism and best-in-class core specifications associated with an open X-mount, the Fuji XS20 has become one of the best-selling cameras in the X line ever.

Now we were expecting that after the Fuji XS20, Fuji would implement their advanced AI-based artificial intelligence autofocusing system in their entry-level bodies like the XT 200 successor. And if that happened, without a doubt, with an advanced system, class-leading core specifications as they usually put in their cameras, and an open X-mount, the XT 200 successor (either it may be called XT 300 or XT 400) was expected to become a major threat to Sony, Canon, and Nikon entry-level bodies.

Unfortunately, Fuji has ended its plans to create more entry-level mirrorless cameras. This is not a good decision since Fuji is already limited to APS-C bodies. If they select a specific zone of pro users only, their consumer base will not grow as the competitors. This is certainly not a good decision. They should open up to everybody
