Canon placed 22 out of 25 in the “Semiconductors, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Technology Hardware and Equipment” category, and 464 out of 503 on the overall list – the list was developed from a survey of over 20,000 professionals.
“Canon is honored to be recognized as a top employer in the U.S.,” said Joe Adachi, chairman and CEO, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “Our corporate culture is built on the philosophy of Kyosei, where all people, regardless of race, religion or culture, harmoniously live and work together into the future. The Forbes ranking was conducted from an online survey of over 20,000 American workers at large U.S. companies, nonprofit institutions such as hospitals, government agencies, and U.S. divisions of multinationals, where they were asked their opinions on their employers and others in their industry. Forbes partnered with Statista to evaluate the data and identified 3,500 employers that had a statistically relevant result. From that pool, the top 500 companies made the list and were placed into 27 industry categories, including retail and wholesale, education, and banking and financial services.
