Unfortunately no new product is announced, the Canon Seeimpossible Focus on People Using Canon Products, the Canon today announces a new 3D microsite which showcases how the Canon technologies around the globe helping people to change their lives. Canon will expand the site’s content to include submissions from consumers and clients.
Grey New York is responsible for the brand strategy, integrated creative, event, promotional and public relations work behind the campaign.
“We’re going to use it as a messaging vehicle, but we’re also going to use it internally to organize and marshal our resources in a way that’s much more customer-centric than just strictly approaching everything from a product viewpoint that we’ve done over the years,” said Michael Duffett, vp, general manager of marketing at Canon. “Our current Web properties do a great job of talking about the specific product, but nowhere do we have a really good place to say a particular company or a particular photographer are using our solutions.” via – adweek
I personally think Canon need innovative products instead of marketing campaign. …Share your thoughts with us.
Canon Seeimpossible Videos
i agree canon is doing nothing to catch up with the competition;too bad i am thinking of leaving canon for sure
such a sad day for Canon lovers. all this marketing nonsense is at least a little bit humiliating. Sony, Nikon, Fuji users are laughing now at our expense.
The big, arrogant giant Canon, not able to move fast, not willing to move fast. They own the sports photography market and busy with video, but forgets what’s going on these days in the market, small mirrorless camera’s, great image quality. Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, also Leica, Sigma ( for image quality )With other words, fun and passion back into photography, being able also to use vintage lenses. Start making
good sensors with a wide dynamic range. No eye for the studio photographer.
Thank you Canon, you made my day 🙁
Sure, Canon have transformed my life. I’ve started my photography passion with Canon, spent thousands of £££ to realize, that images from Canon are crap. I have to shoot in RAW and do a lot of editing which I dislike just to get a picture right. To get tack sharp pictures you have to spend top £££ for a very heavy and huge FF and not really the best lenses on the market. I’m leaving Canon for the maker, that have much more respect for a artist photographer.
Vote with your dollars. Stop whining and leave the crap on the retailers’ shelf. Companies are not people and only care about profit and share of market. There is very little any of us can tell Canon about their competition, they spend millions on it. It’s part of the marketing function. Like it or not Canon will make their move when their bottom line demands it. Corporations are populated by people but they are the least humane cooperatives in the history of mankind.
Dear Canon marketer’s,
don’t you know that there is nothing worse than creating wrong expectations on clients?
” AT canon WE SEE IMPOSSIBLE ” ! 🙂 No, at canon we see a BIG BULLSHIT ! 🙂
If Canon CEO’s are reading this please correct me ( sorry I dont do Translations )
Well,Canon, Thanks! Thank you to all the high paid CEO’s at Canon and their Japanese philosophy of moving slower then manure spread on a level field in getting more products to combat the others. Bravo, on jerking around all your loyal customers who have invested $$$$$$ in a line and supported your profits. I applaud your arrogance in keeping us in tow until , what 2015,2016,2017??? When you might intro a new Mark IV? Really? I ‘am now wetting myself with joy in having to wait.
I want to thank Sony and Nikon for their innovation while Canon does the circle Je$K. Nice add in the WJ- just to see if we were still hanging around eh?
Canon- just keep doing what your doing-and all the people in the CEO cabinet start the Yubitsume (指詰め, “finger shortening) now, because that’s what its going to take to keep me a customer–and even then I most likely will sell all my canons and move to the other folks–Cheers and well done!
Outrageous!
Alas Canon fodder is nothing more than hype, with little more to show than words instead of innovative products. What was once a great company is now a big joke.
And that’s why I’ve changed my Canon FF gear to Panasonic MFT format.
