Canon latest patent shows a new feature that will help new users while he/she is using manual focusing mode, the focusing screen will give show you diagonal lines or strips in the out-of focus area of the image (as you can see in the illustration above). it’s really a nice technology that will help new users to understand the basics of manual focusing and DOF control.
