DJI Osmo 360 II Lens Replacement Kits Arrive in Warehouses

DJI Osmo 360 II Lens Replacement Kits Arrive in Warehouses

Now, finally, we have confirmation from highly reliable sources that retail packaging of the lens replacement kit is arriving to the warehouse of retail stores. A fresh leak from reliable source Igor Bogdanov has just provided the strongest signal yet that the DJI Osmo 360 II is moving into the final stages of production and distribution.

DJI OSMO 360 II LENS REPLACEMENT KIT

A lot of people were really worried about whether the Osmo 360 II would come with a Lens replacement kit. Now, finally, we have confirmation from the image itself. The camera is coming with a lens replacement kit, which is very clearly visible and to be noted. It’s not a prototype or internal sample boxes. These are retail boxes which are now being accumulated in the retail store stocks.

Why This Leak Is Important

The original Osmo 360 (launched July 31, 2025) was widely praised for its dual 1/1.1-inch square sensors, native 8K/50fps 360° video, strong low-light performance, and compact design. However, one consistent criticism stood out: the lenses were not user-replaceable.

Even when we have published the initial set of information related to the DJI Osmo 360 II arrival, most of the people commented that if it is not coming with replaceable lenses, then they are not going to buy it, since they are already facing issues with the first-generation camera where the lenses get scratched, and they are not able to fix them. They have to send the camera to the service center, and since the service centers are not available in the United States of America, they have to opt for third-party solutions.

Unlike the Insta360 X5 (and the earlier X4 Air), which allow owners to swap damaged outer lenses at home with an official kit in a few minutes, the first-generation Osmo 360 required either:

  • Sending the camera to DJI for a paid lens replacement service, or
  • Using third-party DIY kits that involved heating the beauty ring, specialized tools, and carried risks of dust contamination or compromised waterproofing.

The appearance of dedicated Osmo 360 II Lens Replacement Kit retail boxes strongly indicates that DJI has redesigned the lens system on the second generation to support proper user replacement – exactly what many owners had been requesting.

What We Already Know About the Osmo 360 II

Now the most important part. Let’s summarize the set of authentic information we have related to the upcoming DJI Osmo 360 II camera.

The new model carries the internal designation OQ002 and received FCC authorization in December 2025 (FCC ID: 2ANDR-OQ0022512). Key confirmed or strongly indicated details so far include:

  • Video: 8k 50p recording capability
  • Battery: 2,150 mAh (up from 1,950 mAh on the original) — roughly a 10% capacity increase
  • Connectivity: Full Wi-Fi 6 support with dual-antenna MIMO
  • Design: Retains the square body form factor of the first generation (confirmed by a prototype spotted in the wild on July 17, 2026)

A working engineering prototype was photographed testing side-by-side with the original Osmo 360 just six days before the warehouse leak, showing that real-world validation is already underway.

Launch Timing Outlook

As of July 23, 2026, DJI has still not officially announced the Osmo 360 II. Earlier expectations for a spring or early-summer 2026 release did not materialize. However, the combination of:

  1. A field-tested prototype appearing in mid-July, and
  2. Finished retail accessory packaging now reaching warehouses

Pricing is still unknown, but previous projections based on the FCC timing placed the standard combo in the $499–$579 range and the Adventure-style combo higher.

DJI OSMO 360 II USA availability

The DJI Osmo 360 II is currently one of the few 2026 DJI products still legally eligible for sale in the United States because it received its FCC authorization on December 21, 2025 – one day before the Covered List cutoff that blocked new authorizations. In contrast, the Osmo Pocket 4 never received a usable grant in time, and the Pocket 4 Pro was granted on the exact cutoff date of December 22, 2025, so both remain blocked from official US sale. Once the Osmo 360 II is officially launched, it can therefore be imported and sold through normal US retail channels, though the exact timing will still depend on when DJI decides to release it.

Bottom Line

The sudden appearance of official Osmo 360 II Lens Replacement Kit retail boxes in warehouses is more than just another accessory leak. It confirms that DJI has listened to one of the loudest pieces of user feedback on the original Osmo 360 and has engineered a proper user-serviceable lens system into the second generation.

We will continue monitoring developments from Quadro_News and other sources and will publish full specs, pricing, and hands-on coverage as soon as more information surfaces.
