— End of Rumor —

Nikon D7200 was announced on March 2nd 2015, The Nikon D7200 camera features 24 megapixel CMOS sensor and 51 point AF system powered by a Expeed 4 image processor.

If we look at the past foot prints of Nikon D7XXX series then you can find out that Nikon roughly takes 2 year of time to update its D7XXX series camera. The Nikon D7200 has now completes approx two year of time frame and hence a update is imminent.

Nikon D7300 Specification Talk

According to latest rumors the upcoming Nikon d7300 camera will going to feature same sensor as of Nikon d500 camera. And not only sensor the camera will also going to have 4K video mode. Nikon D7300 is also rumored to carry the same 51 point AF system.  Unfortunately the AF system of the camera remains same as of its predecessor.

Nikon D7300 Image Quality

Nikon D7300 camera will going feature Expeed  5 image processor same as of Nikon d500 camera. The Nikon D7200 camera was using expeed 4 image processor and hence it’s a welcome upgrade. Adding a new image processor with new image decoding algo as well as New sensor will going to uplift the image quality of the to be announced Nikon D7300 camera equivalent to Nikon D500 camera. We can also say Nikon is planning to introduce for affordable version of Nikon d500 camera.

Next Big DX camera from Nikon ?

This year we haven’t seen any major announcement from Nikon till now,  Or we can also say Nikon doesn’t announced any major product after Nikon D5 and  Nikon D500 camera. The Nikon D5600 camera was just an  humble replacement to its current series. Adding snapbridge function to the camera doesn’t mean model update and I don’t consider it as a perfect replacement of current Nikon D5500 camera.

Nikon D7300 on Q4 of 2017

Till now we don’t have any confirmation related to the announcement date, but we do believe a big announcement related to DX format camera this year. We can’t say a specific date for now since the 2 years of update cycle time of D7xxx series is almost crossed.

Well good luck Nikon ,I dont want any cameras showing a reduction in MP so I wont be buying.

This camera blows the 7D Mark II and 80D away. Wake up Canon.

  • Mr Majestyk

Why use the D500 sensor when the D7200 is better and still the king of APS-C sensors even against the newer A6500.

Agree with you, Resolution Rollback may become a big issue among photographers who are already using a 24 MP sensor. Being a professional Photographers I never use ISO beyond 6400 even in my Fullframe cameras. But I do love to capture high MP images that carry vast amount of details and allow you recompose even after you made your shot.

  • Marcus.Ben het met je eens dat Canon wat beter aan de weg moet gaan timmeren, maar het is nog steeds de Fotograaf die de foto maak of je nu met je telefoon een foto maak of met een Camera van een paar 1000 euro.

Hey Nikon, we are buying camera for taking pictures instead of making videos. Videos are secondary. To degrade the sensor for a flavor of video is a big mistake. Rather to use the sensor from d7200 and the metering of the d500 than the other way around.

I do hope the D7300 will excel in the video department, with higher ISO capabilities for low light situations (I mainly shoot concerts).
My D750 is great for video but the shallow DOF is quite of a problem sometimes and I hope a DX body will give me some more room.
So, what I expect is: first a tilt screen, then, all the good video option you have in the current D750/D810. I also hope Nikon won’t be so conservative and will at last offer things serious DSLR videographer really need and not just a predictable 4k video as an upgrade!
They really have to look what competitors do (Lumix GH5 just to mention one…). So clean HDMI output to record 4:2:2 videos on external devices is required (I’m not sure you can do it with the D7xxx serie). An unlimited recording time would be great, like on the new Lumix GH5.
I don’t expect Nikon to give us Waveform, vectorscope or even focus peaking, but who knows… maybe they will surprise us… Let’s dream a bit… 😉

Apiv, maybe you are not interested in videos but I’m quite sure many nikonians are! Video is something you must master today if you are a professional! Customers want videos and pay for it! I don’t know many customers today who still pay for still photos, unless you work for advertising agencies or in the fashion industry of course…
