Canon EF 24-70mm F2.8L IS Lens Coming Soon

As we know the announcement of the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS lens is due for long time.

Earlier there was rumor that Canon will gong to announce the IS version of the lens 24-70mm lens, but Canon announced the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II lens in its place because, Canon postponed the announcement of IS version of the lens due to its large size.

Earlier there was expectation that the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS lens will be announced in between the last of 2015 to the early of 2016.

Now we have the latest information via CR that the Canon is in the path of manufacturing the long-wanted lens and it is expected that the lens will take the approximate period of two years to come on surface.

The latest EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS lens will include a new Blue Spectrum Refractive (BR) element, which is recently developed by Canon to correct the chromatic aberrations at high level, which will result in magnificent and superb performance of the lens. Till date the EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM Lens is the first lens to use this BR optical element.

The inclusion of such type of BR element will definitely provide a unique feature to the EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS Lens in coming days.
