In an interview published at dpreview[link here], Senior Vice President of Samsung’s R&D team Byungdeok Nam confirmed that they are targeting both APS-C and Fullframe DSLRs camera in the market,
Full-frame, high-end DSLRs. The ones around the $5000 level. That’s our benchmark.
In the same interview Samsung Senior Vice President also said that “Mirrorless will outsell DSLRs ‘in three years”
I wouldn’t like to say, but since 2008 when mirrorless systems were announced, mirrorless didn’t grow very rapidly. In the last year, however, market reports are predicting that in 2018/19 mirrorless cameras will outsell DSLRs.
We have seen the Samsung NX1 camera, currently it is one of the best APS-C camera available on planet, we do believe that in upcoming future Samsung will bring out more innovative products in the market to compete with fullframe and mirrorless cameras.

I think it can happened if the DSRL producers will stop invest money in research. If not, I think the difference will be the same as today.
With all respect, Senior Vice President of Samsung’s R&D team Byungdeok Nam has nice but unreallistic dreams.
