Xtra Muse 2 Pro Night Footage Teaser Drops: 17-Stop Dynamic Range & 10-bit X-Log Confirmed

So, finally, we have a new teaser from XTRA showcasing the real video quality of the upcoming XTRA MUSE 2 PRO. And not only that, the major specs of the camera have also been revealed in this teaser, so let’s discuss the set of available and updated information about the upcoming XTRA MUSE 2 PRO.

Xtra has just dropped a fresh teaser reel showcasing the XTRA MUSE 2 PRO test unit – and it’s the clearest look yet at what the upcoming pocket gimbal camera can do.

The post was initially surfaced on @xtratech_official on June 11. The short cinematic reel focuses heavily on night and low-light performance while highlighting several high-end features that position the Muse 2 Pro as a serious alternative to the unreleased DJI Osmo Pocket 4P in the US market.

Muse 2 PRO sample

Xtra MUSE 2 PRO Confirmed Core Specification

  • 1-inch CMOS sensor
  • 3X / 70mm  dedicated focal Length based Lens
  • 10-bit X-Log 3 color profile
  • 17-stop dynamic range (one of the biggest talking points in the comments)
  • Strong night/low-light footage performance
  • 103GB internal storage

So all these specifications that you have seen of the upcoming Muse 2 Pro camera, and all these aspects, are confirmed. The most interesting part is the footage that we have seen from the camera, which is also very impressive. So overall, it will be a very tough competitor for the existing Insta360 Luna Ultra camera in the United States of America.

The reel shows smooth gimbal movement in dark conditions with clean detail and controlled noise — exactly the kind of real-world demonstration creators have been waiting for.

Xtra itself calls it “an extra choice” worth keeping an eye on in the crowded pocket camera space.

Latest Launch Timeline (June 2026 Update)

According to Xtra’s previous official communications and recent updates:

  • US launch window: Summer 2026 (most likely mid-to-late July)
  • Creator selection program reportedly begins around June 15, and many of the creators have already been selected
  • Highest chance for official announcement and pre-orders: late June to early July 2026
  • Shipping to customers is expected shortly after pre-orders open

The Muse 2 Pro is expected to feature a 1-inch CMOS sensor, 3-axis mechanical gimbal, ActiveTrack 7.0, rotatable/flip touchscreen (with improved dual-side functionality), and significantly higher internal storage than the current Muse.

Why This Matters

We all know that the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 / 4P series remains limited in official US availability. Xtra (a US-registered brand) continues to fill the gap for DJI loyal customers who are eagerly waiting for the POCKET 4 PRO, with very similar hardware at potentially more accessible pricing and faster local availability.

The original Xtra Muse already received a major firmware update earlier this year that added direct Bluetooth support for DJI Mic Mini and Mic 2, so now the DJI ECO system supports the Xtra Muse Gimbal cameras, including the upcoming Muse 2 PRO

Would you pick the Xtra Muse 2 Pro over waiting for the DJI Pocket 4P (if/when it becomes widely available in the US)? Let us know in the comments.
