Today the Nikon V1 & J1 image appeared here, Nikon will soon announce the Nikon V1 and Nikon J1 mirrorless camera, according to Nikon Rumor both will look identical, except that one will have a self timer LED on the top right and different colors for the lens release button (one will be black, the other will be silver). Nikon V1 comes with a built-in high resolution EVF and will come in black and white. The Nikon J1 will not have an EVF and will come in 5 colors: red, pink, grey, white and black.

Nikon will soon announce the Nikon V1 and Nikon J1 Compact Mirrorless camera, today Nikon Rumor leaked out the specification of the Up-Coming Nikon V1 and Nikon J1, according to Nikon Rumor both will look identical, except that one will have a self timer LED on the top right and different colors for the lens release button (one will be black, the other will be silver). Nikon V1 comes with a built-in high resolution EVF and will come in black and white. The Nikon J1 will not have an EVF and will come in 5 colors: red, pink, grey, white and black.

Update: I missed that one – the camera will have both phase and contrast AF detection
Image Sensor 10.1MP
ISO range: 100-3200 (with H1-6400)
Both cameras will have 2.7x crop factor
3 in. LCD screen
The J1 model will have a built-in flash
The V1 will not have a built-in flash but it will have a multi-accessory port which will support external flash and a GPS device
There will be no traditional flash hot shoe on both models
There will be a F-mount adapter
Both cameras will probably be made of plastic

According to ThomHogan Nikon new Mirrorless system is coming on September with three new lenses “‘I’ve now been told by three different sources it will launch before CES, probably in late September, and it’ll launch with three lenses (wide angle prime, kit zoom, telephoto zoom). The lenses are reportedly “quite small” in nature“.

Performances of Precision Equipment and Instruments are improving as planned. Imaging Company is showing robustness against stronger yen that was unexpected at the year beginning. The business foundation is solidified to achieve continued growth in and after next fiscal year ending March 2012.
Precision Equipment Company
- More ArFimmersion scanners, S620D, are being sold in the 2nd half. To further expand sales next year, efforts are made to improve performances under customer processconditions.
- Strong demands are expected for LCD steppers/scanners for high-precision mid/small-sized panels. Efforts are made to secure purchase orders.
- Leadtimereduction is pursued to prevent opportunity losses and inventory growth forcost reduction.
Imaging Company
Efforts are made to penetrate into emerging country markets and improve product competitiveness and customer satisfaction. Targets are set to accelerate sales expansion at higher rate than market expansion and to improve profitability by reforming the cost structure.
New generation digital cameras are under development.
Instruments Company

MirrorLessRumor posted a new update, Nikon will release their new system in April 2011.
There is a fair chance Nikon mirrorless camera will feature the same 24 Mega-pixel sensor that will be used inside the upcoming Sony NEX-7. The bad news is that Nikon will present their camera in April and the Sony NEX-7 should be announced a few months after
