Firmware Update

Sony vs Nikon Eye AF Test

Dpreview team done a short test to show up the the difference between the Nikon and Sony Eye AF tech. BTW, it’s nice to see Nikon Z7 eye AF works almost same as of Sony.

However I am not happy  with the entire test that dpreview staff conducted, since I was expecting a test which shows more detailed comparison and analysis between the two, expectation increases when something coming out from world leading website like dpreview.

Nikon Z7 is first generation of Nikon Mirrorless camera, where as the Sony A7 III is the third generation of Mirrorless cameras. Despite of that the Nikon Z7 AF is working very effectively.

With the future firmware updates we do hope that Nikon Z7 eye AF will gradually improve.

Confronto a mio parere: Nikon 1 Sony 0!

In all honesty, DPR might be a “world class” website, but that’s hard to define, because somehow, someway, Petapixel is the top visited photo website— and that is an online wasteland of terrible ideas and ads, posing as articles, managed to be dragged down even further by the people commenting on them.

DPR is owned by Amazon, which isn’t as hands-off as it appears. Their primary mission is to keep camera sales up—and when you look at “investigative” videos like this, with a woman dressed as a little girl sitting with a teddy bear at a table (or a mannequin behind a bar), it’s clear the overall coverage isn’t geared towards the insightful or the meaningful.

They bend to their cantankerous reader’s preferences a little bit, but when something like the RP is gifted to us all, like a five mile wide turd from the sky, they generally all clap and honk like trained sea lions. They can’t wait to help sell it because that ultimately means job security. They purchased some credibility with Chris and Jordan, but it seems like something’s got to give there eventually. I hope not, however..

I hope not, but those two don’t appear to be trained sea animals.
