Sony is expected to announce a APS-C Compact camera this summer (before August 25, 2012), the camera will feature a APS-C Sensor and a fixed Zoom Lens. same as DSC R1 (see Sony DSC R1 at Amazon)

According to latest rumors the Sony Hybrid Alpha-NEX Mount will arrive after 2012, the Hybrid camera will feature built-in compatible E-mount (no-external adapter needed!), NEX lenses will work in “crop mode”.
