I’ve been in contact with professional photographers and overseas influencers who have already got their hands on the camera, as well as people who have heard about it from them, and they’ve all
confirmed that the sensor is the same,
so I guess the sensor is the same, with improvements to the engine, Type A4.0, and AI-related improvements such as continuous shooting performance and AIAF, and the body is the same as the α9 III as expected?

It was initially expected that the a9III’s exterior design would be shared. However, I’m more curious about how the a7 series might look in the future. Personally, I think it may adopt the compact design of the a7RV, but there’s also a chance that future a7 models (excluding the a7C series) could be based on the a9III’s design. While standardizing exteriors could help reduce development costs, I’d actually prefer if each series—the a7C, a7, and a1/a9 lines—continued to evolve with its own distinct design. If the a7V does adopt the a9III’s body, it could result in a larger form factor than the a7RV, even though both are 5th-generation models.
